I finished The Ice Limit and I really enjoyed it. I was able to check out Beyond the Ice Limit from the library. I hope to get started on it today.

I'm listening to book one in the Portland Storm Hockey series by Catherine Gayle

its exciting, heartbreaking and I'm learning loads about Ice Hockey too

I grabbed my other Nook when we went to my daughter's dance rehearsal and I didn't realize I hadn't updated my library in awhile, so no Ice Limit. I ended up reading Code Three yesterday. I got it updated when I got home, so I'm set for today.

Just finished Beyond the Ice Limit. It was a good sequel. It was quite a bit more creepy than Ice Limit. I don't want to see any worms in the near future--they might freak me out!

Hey, all! Been super-busy and haven't been reading much lately. Summer is nearly here, so I am hoping to get back to the Grantchester Mysteries, Book #1 I've been reading for a while. It's been a good choice for the time being because the novel is really an arc of short stories. I can read most or half of one before I go to sleep, only 10 or 15 minutes a night. Can't wait until Friday!

I started Marine! The Life of Chesty Puller the other day. I find his life interesting, but so far the author hasn't gotten real in depth with any of the engagements, so it's difficult to tell exactly why he won what medals he received from them. Color me slightly disappointed so far.

Sorry Kamas. I find a lot of non-fiction has me feeling that way. Some authors really should invest in ghost writers

I read the book back when it first came out and I thought it was an excellent biography. While it does get into some of his actions in WWII and Korea, the book was more about the man as a whole and not a campaign tale.

Nora Roberts can be hit and miss for me, I think I like this series so much as it has supernatural aspects to it. Glad the camping trip was a success, Susan.

We had a rain depression move through yesterday, torrential rain all day and night. But today, there's not a cloud in the sky :)

I really enjoyed it Deb, my only gripe was I wish it was a full length novel instead of a novella. The story felt a little rushed at times. Enjoy!

I know Ang I was surprised that the whole series will be novellas and short stories. She does have a contemporary series coming, I'm looking forward to that.

I've just started "Alleigance of Honor" by Nalini Singh. This book wraps up, what she calls the first arc of her world and series. I've been reading this series for a long long time now. It's a fav of my Mum's as well, she re-reads them all every year.

I am starting a love/hate relationship with my Goodreads service. It sends me a notice whenever a book on my TBR list goes on an book special and I cannot help myself. I almost always buy them. Well-played, Goodreads, well played.

I will now be reading FOREVER. First up is a book from the library, of course... Shadow Magic. A fantasy YA. I really like it so far, and it reads so quickly!

So far nothing on my TBR list has popped up as on sale. But, that hasn't stopped me from purchasing stuff I don't need and likely won't get around to reading for years.

A lot of the stuff I end up purchasing is basically stuff that I'm getting because it's really cheap and I think I or someone in my family may someday get around to reading it. Alas, it's looking like the classics are becoming increasingly phased out of school curriculum.

Oh, and I'm almost halfway through Marine! The Life of Chesty Puller. It's gotten much better as we've moved into the WWII era and there's more detail of events (likely because of better record keeping is my guess).

I've been so busy running around this summer that I haven't been reading as much as I would like.

I'm reading The Darkest Torment by Gena Showalter, it is book 12 in a series. I think the series is starting to become a bit stale, then I have a few books to read i picked up this week, Fury Rising by Yasmin Galenorn, and The Good The Bad and The Furry, it's about cats :)

It's been a while since I read one of her Dark Lord series, so I'm behind but that's why they went by the way side for me. Maybe its time to pick it up again, maybe enough time has passed. Thanks for sharing Ang!

Reading The Inquisitor's Key by Jefferson Bass. I really like this series. All of the others mostly take place in TN, but this one takes place in France and it has some similarity to Dan Brown. At first that turned me off, but it's such a well-written book and a good story, so I'm really enjoying it. My only complaint so far is that while the disappearance of a character from an earlier book is finally explained, it's just a brief mention in only one sentence. I was really hoping for more. Oh well, enough rambling from me......
