New to Play Book Tag? Please Introduce Yourself

Welcome, Natalie!!! I think you've come to the right place. And I'm sure you will bring a lot to the group as an English teacher. Many of us also enjoy classics. But we will give you a chance to try some new genres (and perhaps classics in the making) for sure.
Sounds like you've had a great summer so far - - we look forward to getting to know you. I think we have some fellow travelers here too!

I found out about this group from the Olympic Reading challenge, in fact.
Thank you to all for the welcome messages.

Welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you.

Actually, you're not on my team. I'm the Jen who is organizing the challenge. You have a Jennifer on your team with the same initials as me. It's all very confusing. I'm actually helping out on a different team :)

Hi Katie - so funny that you found us I was just thinking of you and wondering where you were! Welcome back!

Hi Jennifer!! So glad you have you join us - - sorry to hear you are always exhausted and cranky though ;). I remember those days I must say. Mine sons are young adults now, and I've moved from exhausted and cranky to constantly worried. Not sure which is worse, lol.
Hopefully you will find some respite here!!

Diamondgirl!!! Awesome to have you back!! Glad you found us . . .happy days!!

even more confusing because all three of us are participating in some form of Olympics challenge and two of us share initials (J.P.) Welcome Jennifer! Glad you have you join us.
And welcome Katie!

Can't wait to tally participation points ;)

Ha ha. I'm a Jennifer Marie :)

how do you want us to refer to ourselves for the scoring? I always just list Jen when I enter my name b/c that was what I was over at Shelfari although I realized here my name is Jen P.

Generally, I am able to figure it out, but the BEST is if you can put your location in your profile. If I'm confused, I will look there and see where the person is from . . .which is usually a unique identifier I can actually remember.

As a person who joined PBT about a month before Shelfari made their closing announcement, I was just starting to learn the regulars before the switch. Couple the move with new names, avatars, and new members, and I have been totally lost. I tell myself it will come.

If you can add an initial after your first name, it's much easier for me when doing the raffle scoring. I usually just go through the discussion list on the group page, it's easier than paging through all the reviews. We have several Nicole's as well as Jennifer's and a few Linda's - which is why I went back to my Shelfari name.
If an initial doesn't work, a distinctive avatar is helpful.
Just my two cents.

Well I know your avatar, so that helps somewhat.

I'm from Poland. I am a student, who loves reading as much as can. In last year, I read about 300 books and it was the biggest number of books I've read. I read almost everything. :)

Welcome, Wiktoria!! So glad you found us. 300 books is INCREDIBLE. When do you study, lol? Are you a literature major?

Welcome! We want to hear about all those books.

I think it's impossible to hear about all (because maybe I don't remember about all of them), but maybe about few :)

Anita, I could connect learning with reading. It was quite funny, but I don't remember how I did it. I'm not literature major. :D
Kathy wrote: "Welcome Wiktoria, I love the way we do our book reads here. Instead of everyone reading the same book, we all read about the same topic. It is a great way to find out about interesting books."
Kathy, I love that kind of reading adventures :) I think it's something to me.

Don't hesitate to reach out to us with questions, Brandon. You will find our members to be very helpful and happy to provide assistance.

My reading interests are all over the place, but mainly, I tend to enjoy graphic novels, YA books, and poetry. Recently I've been reading a ton of children's literature because I've been working in a children's library, so that's introduced me to a whole other spectrum of reading. That's been fun.
This group looked really interesting, and feeds into my basic love of recommending books, so that's why I joined. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

My user name is Doulton---he was a cat. My "real name" is Natalie. In addition to reading, I like to travel but don't have any travels planned. I spent 5 weeks in London in May-June and consider myself very lucky!
I am looking forward to playing the game with you!
