March 2016 Post-Apocalyptic Group Read Nominations

Okay this is one of my all time favorite books. Now up front, there was an unfortunate attempt at making it a movie. Don't let that put you off. As often happens the movie does nothing like justice to the book.
I'll nominate:
The Postman,

I actually enjoyed the movie...you can't go wrong with Kevin Costner in my mind!

Well I'll give him this, he tried to follow the story. It just ended up dragging too much. The book is (if I may use the word) infinitely better.
Really.
:)

The Purge of Babylon also comes as a 1-3 set (for the price of one) both as audiobook (Audible.com), kindle book, paperback, or hard copy.

I looked at the reviews of the Audible edition and they were mixed. I'm a little concerned about the narrator...but I think the 3 in 1 deal may swing me.
I will concede that I did not think this narrator was "great".. Be managed the story okay... Certainly not the worst I've heard.

Sorry, our nomination period is closed. You can save it for the next group read nomination that applies.

Because I left a book off the poll, I'm going to extend the voting until February 20th. I'm so terribly sorry about that, Justin.
Well, apparently I never reset the poll. Again, i am sorry. I have had a crazy schedule. I extended the poll until the 22nd.
We ended up with a tie. Vote in the runoff poll before Midnight on 2/26.

The Postman won the poll. Thanks to everyone who participated in the nominations. I apologize for the mistakes I made in the process. We'll start the discussion on March 1st.

LOL, will keep that in mind next time. I thought midnight was at the end of the day. I posted that note on feb 26th at 9:30 pm, but then I didn't know what time zone you were in. Will just make sure I am earlier next time.

Considerations:
1. One nomination per group member. The books must be nominated with a Goodreads link by clicking on 'add book/author'. If a book does not have a Goodreads link, it will not be added to the poll.
2. Books need to be readily available, ie, in print (able to buy new or in ebook format).
3. Books should have some degree of action/adventure content.
4. Past group reads are not eligible to be nominated again. The past group discussions remain open for members to comment. You may see the list of past reads here:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
5. Books must be either standalone or first in a series (or they may be later in a series if constructed to be read as a standalone).
The poll will go up on February 8th.
