I didn't think there was a min requirement? but even so I think 118 would count!

The Rose Effect, city: New York

Everything Leads to You, city: Los Angeles

Thirty Three Teeth by Colin Cotteril. Thirty-Three Teeth
It takes place in Vientiane Laos. I like this series so far. Of course there's about 8 books and I'm on number 2.

We can only do 5 Detours – so far we have done 4:
1. St Croix Island (VI) - Port of Spain [Trinidad and Tobago] (TT) - DETOUR
Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as trilogy - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable
2. Port of Spain (TT) – Leon [Nicaragua](ES) - DETOUR
Read a book with a child on the cover
3. Leon (ES) - Kemi/Tornio [Finland] (FI) -
Read a book where the title starts with the letter Q
4. Kemi/Tornio (FI) – Shymkent [Kazakhstan](KZ) - DETOUR
Read a book that has a predominately scarlet and gold cover.
5. Shymkent (KZ) - Hervey Bay [Australia] (AU) - DETOUR
Read a book where a character lives in a city
SO we can have only 1 more detour - and we have 3 more stops - so we have to choose weather we spell it out, read a book set in the destination country or use our last detour.
The last 3 stops are:
6. Hervey Bay (AU) - Kona [USA – Hawaii] (US)
Read a book with the word magic, sorcery, enchant or divine (plurals are acceptable) in the title
I think we can all find a book set in the USA - does it specifically have to be Hawaii?
7. Kona (US) - Valdivia [Chili](CL) - Doing
Read a book where the author uses a suffix (Jr, Sr., III)
Valdivia would give us each one letter for a spell-it out - not sure who easy it would be to find a book set in Chili
8. Valdivia (CL) - St Croix Island [Virgin Islands](VI)
Read a book where a character's first name starts with the letter D
Hmmm - a bit daunting - maybe the Detour for this one?

I think a detour for stop 8 sounds good. As for the Hawaii stop #6 according to the challenge "read books set in that country or by an author of that country" so doesnt look like it needs to be Hawaii specifically just the USA.
So we could either read an American author or book set in the US which seems pretty easy to me :) What do you all think?

That works for me - Erika you have your book all picked out - but it fits this criteria - so you don't need to change it if you don't want to.
I have few books that will fit.
So everyone happy for Stop 6 to read a book by an American author or set in the US?

That works for me.
Can we start our book for the next stop?

Stop 6. Hervey Bay (AU) - Kona [USA – Hawaii] (US) – read by 18th June
Task: Book set in the USA or written by American Author

It was waiting for me at the library yesterday. It takes place near Seattle. I got lucky that my reserved book that showed up actually matched the challenge. I just started it and kept on reading until the end. I really thought I needed to know how it ended. I didn't love it.

Lory - George Washington's Secret Six: The Spy Ring That Saved the American Revolution by Brian Kilmeade - message 339

Never captained anything before so thought I'd give it a whirl as a back up!!!
I understand over 300 people have put their hands up!!!
You do know when we've finished this tour - we can choose to go on to do another 8 as 'Business' class - this is economy.
If some don't want to we can request hitchhikers to join us - or if we mostly decode not to go on - we can go and sign up to be a hitchhiker and be assigned to another team when a spot becomes available :)
Though wobble sounds full on not sure there would be another team that would let us take 3 weeks to do a stop like we all agreed :)

:)

When your team has completed all eight stops
◈ At the end of the trip (minimum 8 weeks), the team can decide if they want to get a new itinerary and start a new trip, or pat themselves on the back and disband :)
◈ Your first trip as a team is in Economy class. Once you have completed, if you decide to go again as a team, then you are upgraded to Business Class. In Business Class you can do a maximum of six detours (rather than 5).
If your team decide to go for a third trip, because you have accumulated enough frequent flyer points, you are upgraded to first class, and you can do a maximum of seven detours.
◈ If your team decide to not continue, you can join a new team, but you start again in economy class or you can become a hitchhiker for a team that is missing a player.

I'd be down to keep travelling, this is super fun and helping me tackle my TBR list!

All about the US Revolutionary War and the spy ring that was involved. Non-fiction but taking place in New York.

Is anyone here doing the Wobble challenge?"
I'm doing the Wobble challenge. =) It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Good for you on offering to co-captain! You'll do a fantastic job at captaining so I hope you get the job!
I'd be up for going another round in this so you can count me in for that. I also agree that not everyone would be willing to do 3 weeks a stop like we all agreed to, that is super laid back and is a long time commitment as far as the length of time it takes to finish the whole challenge. I'm good with playing no matter- this has been a fun challenge. =)

I enjoyed it quite a bit :) I had just finished Let's Get Lost by the same author. I think I enjoyed both so much cause they weren't really what I was expecting - which isn't typical of the YA genre.
