SO - do we want to do the detour - read a book were MC is a Virgin? And as today's the last day we will start the next read tomorrow - 12th and finish by 3rd December?
Am I being to bossy? LOL
I have no problem with you attempting to keep us organized. And Im all for the detour. It's too bad Im not terribly fond of Jane Austin. I'm thinking a classic would work here. Ill have to see what i can find..
I agree, no problem at all with you keeping us organized. It's a great help! Thank you so much Sally :) I'm fine with the detour as well. Will decide a book tonight.

I'm in the middle of another Harry Potter binge. That works for the detour, as long as rereads are allowed. Otherwise, I'm sure I'll find something!
Hmmmm would fantastic beasts count? Im not sure its known if anyone is or is not virginalIf not, i'll grab the next in Narnia, that should work

So i read both Fantastic Beasts, which is essentially just a list of beast characteristics and Quidditch Through the Years but I don't know that either of those count. If they do, then, completed.Currently reading Afterworlds by Scott Westerfield which would count as well

I'm currently so engrossed in the final Mistborn book, but I do have a book lined up next that will fit the challenge. Should be able to finish it by the weekend.
Stop 4 Completed! 29/11/2016Book:
Main character was a virgin at the beginning of the book.
Rating: 4/5 stars.
Welp guess we all got caught up in the holidays! So next stop is 5. Kozhikode (IN) - Wenzhou (CN) - India to China
detour: Read a book with an X on the cover
We could either spell out (Wenzhou = 1 person reads double, Kozhikode = 3 people read double) and I think we should spell out the Chinese city in that case, we could all read books from Chinese authors, or do the detour again.
I think spell it out would be easiest and I can read two books no problem; bought myself a bunch of books for Xmas lol
What do you all think? Is everyone done with the 4th Stop?

We are still waiting on Erika to post her completed book.
But Yep Happy to do the spell out for WENZHOU
I can take the Z one - A Zoo in My Luggage by Gerald Durrell
Shall we make it longer - say finish by the Sunday 15th January

I'm good with the 15th! And I'll take a look at my book titles but so far I can take any of the letters

Out of curiosity, how many detours do we have left to do? For future planning.I am currently reading The Alchemyst which unfortunately doesn't work for any of the letters.
I will see what else I can find for the other letters. I am willing to search and take the leftover.] letter.
After this we have 4 detours - but some of them are pretty yuk 6. Wenzhou (CN) - Obihiro (JP)
detour: Read a book with the word Ms, Mr, Mrs or Miss (plurals are acceptable) in the title
7. Obihiro (JP) - Watertown (US)
detour: Read a book that has the birthstone Topaz in the text or title
8. Watertown (US) - Asturias (ES)
detour: Read a book with 61-70 chapters
Currently I'm not reading anything that would fit. If i get through this odd stack of half read books and something fits I'll let you know asap
Ooops -totally got sidetracked by everything and anything -been a bit scattered lately. I can do E : The End of Mr. Y and N Numbers in the Dark and Other Stories I have already made plans to stay home and read all day tomorrow -before, during and after dealing with all the laundry I seem to have accumulated over the holiday.

7. Obihi..."
Yeah the detours for 7 & 8 seem hard. 6 might be okay. We could all read Mrs. Dalloway lol
I almost completed Numbers in the Dark. After I read Tally's message I decided that I would read The End of Mr. Y 2nd -just in case someone else wants to take an E book. That way I'll be ready with my Detour for 6 book if we choose to do that or I can go ahead and read it if E is still available.
I will finish my book over the weekend - am really enjoying A Zoo in My Luggage - is a re-read but set in West Africa - an area I am familier with
Completed: Numbers in the DarkI feel like if I took some acid or mushrooms and sat in a cafe these stories would be what was going on in my brain. This is your brain on drugs... Not that he was on them while writing them -it's the reading process that's terribly foggy. He's writing about mundane stuff in an disassociative, sideways manner.

Erika wrote: "I had already stated I wasnt reading anything that would be applicable"Oh OK - That was back in Mid-December I thought you may have found something by now :)
No Biggie - has anyone else read anything that fits criteria E?
None of my current reads do - and none of the 6 books I have read so far this year do either.
Opossum you still got The End of Mr. Y in your sights?
0possum wrote: "Reading it now -I should be done by tomorrow night."Your blood's worth bottleing - no rush :)
just trying to detox from Calvino I felt like I was walking around without my glasses after reading those stories. This is a much easier read.
