All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Finished: 10/4/2016
Task: Read a book that won or was nominated in the 2014 Goodread Choice Awards - Stop #2
What are we thinking for the next stop, spell it out? We could do Burgas since I think we have 6 people.
Hurricane Matthew passed us by leaving us pretty much unscathed, so very grateful. Finished Heir of Fire 3/10/2016.

Glad you're okay!

Good to hear - I see on the news it's slammed into Haiti and edging Cuba now - they saying it might make the USA mainland.
Just waiting on Erika and Lory and we're done.I think spell it out this time as some big names coming up so the detours might be better saved - we've done one but are only allowed 5 out of the 8 stops.
Still to come (we have 4 detours left) and we can opt to read books set in that country:3. Burgas (BG) - Madinah (SA) - Bulgaria to Saudi Arabia
detour: Read a book where a character is a teacher
4. Madinah (SA) - Kozhikode (IN) - Saudi Arabia to India
detour: Read a book where MC is a virgin (at the beginning)
5. Kozhikode (IN) - Wenzhou (CN) - India to China
detour: Read a book with an X on the cover
6. Wenzhou (CN) - Obihiro (JP) - China to Japan
detour: Read a book with the word Ms, Mr, Mrs or Miss (plurals are acceptable) in the title
7. Obihiro (JP) - Watertown (US) - Japan to USA
detour: Read a book that has the birthstone Topaz in the text or title
8. Watertown (US) - Asturias (ES) - USA to Spain
detour: Read a book with 61-70 chapters
Where are we? If we are spelling out Burgas I have a book for all letters but I'd like to start on Burial Rites but if someone else wants B that's fine too I have plenty of U R G A and S books. 'possum
Lory wrote: "Has Erika finished Cress yet?I don't think we have started the next stop as of right now."
No still waiting for Erika to finish Cress so haven't started yet.
We can plan though.
Stage 3 - Spell out Burgas - Finish date 10th NovemberB - Opossom
U - Tally - Unrivaled by Alyson Noel - completed: 25/10/2016
R -
G - Sally906
A - Lory - Alison Wonderland by Helen Smith - completed: 27/10/2016
S -Jodie
Erika still in it - but has a few books ahead of Cress - she is doing Wobble challenge like a few of us and it is full on right now. Our fast readers are reading up a storm!
I'll take G as I have Gertie's Paranormal Plantation on my TBR pile just squealing for me to pick it up ;)If Tally and Jodie pick and then Erika can take what's left - and I'll message her her letter :)
I found two R books! Woop woop! I have a couple ahead of them but! I should get to it well before the deadline this time around
Lory wrote: "Did we move on to the next stop?"I think we have Lory :) I've got you down for Wallbangee by Alice Clayton.
I don't think we've set a finish date though.
So shall we make it 2 weeks from today? My date is Thursday 27th - so those who haven't finished yet (in my case haven't started) read by Thursday 10th November?
How does that sound.
Sorry haven't been around much - have had some non-Goodreads stuff going on and am doing the wobble challenge and everything focussed on that - Thank goodness it finishes in just over a week!!!!
SO Thursday 10th everyone?
Works for me! I switched my book, but it still works for A.

Anyone a little excited for the end of Wobble? I loved it (not as a big a fan of the role playing one as I'm still confused) but I'm ready for more relaxed reading :-)
Did we decide what the next stop is going to be? Detour, Country, Spell-it-out? I'm fine with whatever (got books lined up for all options) :)
Lory wrote: "Anyone a little excited for the end of Wobble? We have a captain who is in her element with role playing reading games - so she is working tirelessly fitting our books to what they need to be fitted too. Every so often she asks for a particulare task and one of us usually comes up with it - but the team has to read so fast!!!!
Tally wrote: "Did we decide what the next stop is going to be? Detour, Country, Spell-it-out? I'm fine with whatever (got books lined up for all options) :)"Next stop is: 4. Madinah (SA) - Kozhikode (IN) - Saudi Arabia to India
detour: Read a book where MC is a virgin (at the beginning)
I have a book that is set in India - and a couple of fairy tale retelling with virgins - so can do either. - spelling out MADINAH will mean someone would have to read 2 - the other word 3 of us would have to.
The only one I would vote against is a book set in Saudi Arabia - as I have nothing that would fit.
Erika wrote: "Does an author in a compliation with lots of authors count for spell it out?"I have no idea. You might need to ask the mod about that one. I am guessing not but that's just me - I'm not a mod.
My guess is that the editor would count but not one author of many in a short story compilation. Completion: Burial Rites
It was interesting -not my normal type read but Iceland is one of my favorite places to visit.
Stop Completed 9/11/2016Okay I still haven't finished Carrie by Stephen King, but i did read
, which covers "S" as well so i'm using that for this stop. I'm back in a slump again!! I've been reading a couple of books on audio to help me out of it. I don't think I have any books on hand set in India. I do have some middle grade books, which I do expect the MC's to be virgins lol!.
