Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 6 (Chapters 39-46).

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling this for your good read friends.

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine

Rand keeps ending up getting deeper and deeper in trouble. And more people keep mistaking him for an Aielman. I don't recall that during my first reading, but then you have little clue who the Aiel are at this point.

It's a bit mind boggling how little we know of the world at this point. He adds so much in the later books. Different nations, different races, a ton of characters.

It's easy to remember now why I added this book as one of my favorites. It's probably the book that made me fall in love with epic fantasy. It's not only getting hard to stop for the day and swap to Sword of Shannara, but it's going to be hard to take a break to do another book.

I can't say I'll feel this way a few books in, but for now I'm totally excited for a full reread. We'll see how long that lasts :)

Teanka | 134 comments When I did my reread 4 years ago (wow, the time flies so fast!) I only wanted to read the prequel, New Spring. I got sucked for a full reread and couldn't wait for the final volume to come out in a year or so. I have to admit that was pretty surprising since I got very frustrated many years earlier because I thought the series was too repetitive and abandoned it after book 8 or 9.

When I read it straight through, it seemed much less repetitive and even the slowest books were OK with me. There was so much foreshadowing and clues about what was to come, I had no problems any more with keeping the minor characters who appear every 2-3 volumes straight and got to like a lot of them. I hope it will be the same for you :).

Sumant | 522 comments I liked how Morarine taking a clue from three prophecies decided to head into the blight to the eye so that she can prevent the Dark one in blinding the eye.

Also the The ways are an interesting concept they were built by Male Aes sedai after the breaking of the world as a gift to the Ogier.

We also come to know that the ways were used by the Trollocs while going to two rivers, and in that they were guided by (view spoiler).

Also knowing about the history of Lan and why is called the un crowned one was awesome read.
