Hoping this Elyas sticks around for a while, liking his character. Also kind of glad that the main group has been separated from each other so we've started getting other points of view. Like that Perrin is more methodical in his methods, preferring to think things through
Figured those coins were some of connection between the boys and Moiraine. I feel she's pretty genuine in her wanting to keep them away from the Dark One, but I'm not sure how much she cares about keeping the alive

Nynaeve showed up and joined the party. She did one of her infamous braid tugs which only getting 5 books in I have to say is probably one of my least favorite things. Interesting to find later in the section that she has a special connection with Egwene after healing her. Wonder if this will be an ability she can learn to strenghthen to help her locate people later on.
Get introduced to some Children of the Light who pretty much suck. They seem kind of like the spanish inquisition at this point and I wonder if they will end up helping out the dark side more through ignorance then they do the light. It seems like a major part of this book and maybe series is time twisting the lines of who is good and who is bad. The Aes Sedai according to Moraine are fighting against the dark one but most people seem to hate them and consider them evil. Wonder if things will get straightened out or if the light side factions will help destroy their own cause.
The whole Shadar Logoth section was awesome. I was a bit confused about whether Mordeth and Mashadar were the same or seperate or one controlling the other.
I also liked that the group was split and we get some other POV. Perrin is really intriguing and the whole communicating with wolves seems cool.
Also I saw 3 of Min's predictions(?) come through. 2 about Lan and 1 about Mat. Will find the exact instances tomorrow and update.

Thats what makes it great epic fantasy. The world feels old and lived in. The events of the past have faded to legends and superstition.

That's a great observation about the Children of Light and is very much how I felt about them as well. Easy to see how the people who profess to do things in the name of good can do more damage than the "bad" guys.

Perrin can communicate wolves that's great.
Also no wonder people don't trust Aes sedai because they have strings tied to everything. Also I think Morarine should have told people regarding Shadar Logoth but Aes sedai always like to make dependency on themselves I guess.
Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Part 3 (Chapters 16-23).
