Ally | 99 comments Hi !
It's been a while. I was reading fantasy.
I've finished the Throne of Glass series
And I read some urban fantasy : The Dresden Files starting with Storm Front, October Daye series starting with Rosemary and Rue, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, the InCryptid series starting with Discount Armageddon, the new Mercy Thompson Storm Cursed.
I started the Laundry files The Atrocity Archives and so far so good.

I will go back to SF with Space Opera which is nominated for the Hugo's awards.

Enjoy the summer !

lupine (lupinevendetta) | 10 comments Does Off Armageddon Reef fit as a space opera? It's by David Weber, and I saw that you were reading a book by Weber, Teresa, but I wasn't sure because Off Armageddon Reef is more about a society that's been built after the whole human race has been transplanted to another planet. Just curious... thx!

For Reader Pick, the book needs to have a spaceship in it somewhere. For Themed Pick it’s enough that it takes place on another planet and has a technological society.

For “what are you reading now” you can mention any books at all, although we usually stick to science fiction of some type.

I just finished Stardoc. I'm not sure why I decided to read it, because I didn't expect much. I guess I was intrigued by the idea of a doctor in space, but I hadn't read great reviews of this series. But I was surprised. Sure, some of was pretty unbelievable, but it was fun. Here is my review.

This thread is being closed because it's getting rather long and cumbersome. Please post about your current space opera reading in the following Part 2 thread:
