Yes, the $3 do soon add up ie my postie brought me 4 brand new books purchased at my suggestion, months ago. Two I loved, and two I didn't.. Never mind , $6.00 for the privilege. However, as its totally free for the EBOOKs, this suits me. Horses for courses.

Oh well as I said 'Horses for courses'...

I enjoyed [book:The Husband's Secret|17802724]. I listened to it and thought the audio very good. I plan to give her another spin.

I've heard good things about her The Pearl That Broke Its Shell.

Yes, 6 million books sold, is a great achievement. One little reader who doesn't like them , is insignificant..

Good for her! It's unbelievable the things people think are Ok to tweet.

I put it on my books-to-watch list.

I enjoyed it. Interesting era, well written. Easy read.

I first heard this called "The Vanishing Man", but understand why Laura Cumming has changed it for the US market The Vanishing Velázquez: A 19th Century Bookseller's Obsession with a Lost Masterpiece
Sounds really interesting.

Yes, the free books help me, enormously. I can stop reading and return if it's not to my taste.

YAY I checked; it was there !! and am about to start reading this EBOOK: A House Without Windows Nadia Hashimi..

I've heard good things about it, also, Lesley.

The Light Between Oceans I've already previously read and enjoyed.
3 out of 5 aint bad.. Commonwealth , The Schooldays of Jesus and The Infatuations all brand new.. How blessed..

The Sleepwalker's Guide to Dancing and am nearly finished having read it all!!. REALLY enjoying it.
Other EBOOKS awaiting are: The Accidental by Zadie Smith
The House by the Lake: A Story of Germany

It takes a while for my requests, but I will ask for the Where'd You Go, Bernadette but I seldom find this style is as funny as promised. Perhaps (really?) I have a different sense of humour.

It reads like a ya or children's chapter book but I enjoyed it. My bookclub did too.

I'll keep it on the TBR for when I want a quick light read.

Lesley, I had no idea Kent was Australian - very surprised probably because her settings are so distant from Australia. I have a GR friend reading her newest so will be watching to see what she thinks. I was impressed with Burial Rites.

Grr.... heard another one, yesterday, but forgot to look it up.. Hope it comes back to me. AHH will look at the ABC website. LOVE this era!!

The Stella Prize and Miles Franklin lists, must also have missed her. Burial Rites, or I missed them...

Sometimes it takes MONTHS and sometimes, a few weeks. I get an email when available.

So obvious once I found it via the 'my comments'.. Threads that haven't had any comments for ages go dormant, but its so obvious when you know how... DUH... thanks anyway..
