Maddie | 2 comments I read a book years ago and cannot remember the title for the life of me. I remeber it was about two brothers who's mother left them to be raised by nuns. I want to say the book took place in Italy maybe, or somewhere in Europe. The imagery was incredible, and I remember picturing gorgeous hills or mountains and winding dirt roads where they drove a carriage of some sort through. One of the brothers was very obedient and ended up becoming a priest. The other went off and married and started a family somewhere. He and his wife lost their youngest daughter I believe. In the end, they find out where their mother had been. I know this is a very choppy description, and quite vague, but I honestly cannot remember a whole lot about this book except for the the fact that I loved it! Must've read it back in high school and didn't think to care I'd want to read it again someday. Hopefully someone on here can recognize my spotty summary.
