Nitzan | 7 comments Hi,
I'm looking to get into Tess Gerritsen's books. I'm looking for a "gateway" read - one of her better books that will make me want to read more books by her. Where should I start? With The Surgeon? With the latest Rizzoli/Iles book? Maybe one of her better-reviewed stand-alones (Bone Garden or Playing with Fire)?

Thanks!

From experience I found that some series' first books are not as good as later entries, so I was worried the first book would put me off. Is it not the case here? Would you say The Surgeon is one of her better books?

Thomas (tom471) | 2003 comments There are plot elements that carry through in the series, so I recommend starting with The Surgeon
