Pip (subtlesraf) | 21 comments hey when I was a kid I had a comic book about a boy (I think his name was oscar) who was in an accident where he was chopped up and he survived, afterwards he found out he could take his body apart (take his hands off, his head off etc) whenever he wanted and he ends up solving crimes with his new power

it sounds dumb I guess but it was so awesome, please help!

Pip, I moved your request to the "Unsolved" folder because you're looking for a specific book.

What year did you read this book?

Pip (subtlesraf) | 21 comments I'm not sure, I was born in 1993 but must've been 7-10 or a bit older im not sure I can't remember a lot of my childhood

Literally, a comic book? As distinct from a published book?

message 5: by Pip (new)

Pip (subtlesraf) | 21 comments yes, a comic book.

Technically comic books are not books according to GR. There would be nothing to shelve if this were found.

Pip (subtlesraf) | 21 comments I'm not looking to shelve it on goodreads and actually comics are in the system

I just want to know the damn title of it

Anyway, here is a list of comic book characters with detachable body parts: http://www.comicvine.com/profile/dead...

My husband, an avid comic book collector, also provided this additional information:

Mr. Jigsaw, #27, looks promising. Not included is Pullapart Boy from Steven K. Weissman’s Yikes comics. Pullapart Boy was more of a Frankenstein monster who hung out with a little vampire called Li’l Bloody. It was sort of an alternative comix parody of Caspar the Ghost, though, not really a crime-fighting strip.

Pip (subtlesraf) | 21 comments it's none of those. the boy's name was oscar and he was under 20.

Joe Nicholls | 1 comments Are you sure the name is Oscar? It sounds like you're describing the Orson Cart series, Orson Cart Comes Apart being the first.

Pip (subtlesraf) | 21 comments oh my god thank you so much I think that's it.
