Brown hair piled up into a high ponytail, Danielle Ollivander weaved her way through the crowds of students, keeping a close eye on her friend, Celeste. Now bound to protect the blonde, she lightly held onto her muggle clothing so as not to loose her. But as people closed in, making it difficult to breathe, and suddenly her fingers slipped from her robes. Cursing under her breath and with a wild gaze, she frantically searched around the platform for her friend, until suddenly she was turned around by the infamous Marauder, Sirius Black, whom always seemed to both her and her friends, along with James Potter. Dani tolerated James – they were like siblings the two – but Sirius she could barely handle as she always seemed to catch him snogging some girl. Turning around, her crimson coat whipping behind her, she glared up at the taller boy — she was only about 5"2. "What do you want, Black?" She snapped. "I'm kind of busy right now."
—
Severus crashed through the barrier, his eyes landing upon the other students with disgust. His face placid and stoney, he slithered through the crowds easily, his tall, lanky figure looking over the crowd at the other students and respectively their parents. His eyes landed upon a blonde who looked dazed, but he knew all too well. Following the fellow Slytherin, and watching as he friend lost her amongst the crowd, he swiftly stepped aboard the train and trailed behind the girl. Severus ran a hand through his ebony black hair, his irises following her like a hawk until he found himself standing in the doorway of her compartment. "Have a nice summer did we now, Lockhart? Your friend seems rather frantic because she lost you." A sly smirk crossed his features, his arms crossing over his chest as he stared down upon her.

As Sirius Black weaved through the crowd that had accumulated at Platform 9¾ he had the advantage seeing as he was taller than most the people that stood on the cobblestone next to the Hogwarts Express. Searching the claustrophobic crowd for no one in particular, Sirius's eyes fell upon a familiar head of hair and he recognized as Danielle Ollivander. She was clinging to one of the Slytherin House members—what was her name? For the life of him Sirius could not remember. Something Lockhart. That was all he knew. Moving through the crowd, Sirius gave a small tug on the crimson red coat that Ollivander wore when he had finally arrived to stand only a half a step behind her. He was surprised by how quickly she turned around, glaring up at him from her shorter height. If she weren't so much shorter than Sirius, he may have been intimidated, but he was not. She asked him what he wanted, stating that she was busy at the moment. Those words piqued Sirius's curiosity and he tilted his head slightly. "Busy with what, might I ask?"

The crowd at the platform was nearly unbearable for most, but luckily for Celeste Lockhart, she was not even the slightest bit claustrophobic. She moved through the crowd with easy, thankful that her flowing gold hair was tied up in a knot on her head so that no one pulled it as they tried to squeeze past her. As she danced through the crowd, she was all too aware of the hand that gripped the back of her clothes that belonged to her friend, Danielle Ollivander. Honestly, Cel didn't believe that she needed to be protected. She could protect herself perfectly well. Why put Dani in danger? As the people surged closer together, Celeste felt the hand that had been clinging to her slip away. But that did not stop her from climbing on the train, oblivious to the fact that she was being followed until she had entered her compartment and heard a familiar voice. It belonged to her fellow Slytherin, Severus Snape. "What's this, Snape? Concerned about my well-being after spending the summer surrounded by muggles?" Celeste asked as she settled down next to the window.

Dani grabbed Sirius' hand, yanking it off of her favorite coat with a sneer. "And why would it be any of your business what I do, Black? I don't recall receiving a letter informing me that you must know all of my whereabouts." She rolled her eyes softly, fiddling with the Deathly Hallows necklace around her neck. Her grandfather had read her the stories since she was young, and the two very firmly believed them to be true. Another necklace clung to the soft spot of her throat, a small pearl hanging from a leather cord. Her small fingers fiddled with both, her brown eyes staring down at her sneakers before looking confidently up at Sirius. "Shouldn't you be with James? Where is he anyways?" Sighing in defeat, she walked with him towards the train, hoping he'd leave her after she spoke briefly with him. "Ah — there he is. Bothering Lily again." Dani winced in pain for both of her friends sake. "Poor bloke." She twirled her curls around her finger, sighing softly as she inhaled the familiar scent of train smoke that made her ache more and more for them to return to Hogwarts. "Kind of like you." She smirked devilishly up at him, teasing of course. Dani knew fully well that Sirius was infamous for his one night stands or one time dates. How he managed it, was beyond her.
—
Severus let out an amused chuckle. "Think I've gone soft, do you?" He rolled his eyes, scoffing at the idea. Him, Severus Snape, sofenting up to muggles, no less. He only went soft around one person... His best friend Lily Evans, who was charming to all, and had certainly charmed him into oblivion. "Honestly, Ms. Lockhart, how on earth could you find it in your thoughts of me becoming an old softie, when you know me to only soften to my books?" His smirk still plastered on his face was kept in tact, as he stepped in to sit across from her. Slinging one leg over the other, he leaned forward, his eyes darkening as they scanned her own. "Or should I call you, Ms. Riddle now, hm?" He mused softly in a playful tone, though it was laced with a dark humor only few knew. "Better keep a low profile now, love. Wouldn't want anyone else to know. Especially not your Gryffindor friends." He scoffed at the thought. How was she, a Slytherin, friends with several Gryffindors? "Although I have a feeling Ms. Ollivander already knows this information... What say you?"

Sirius raised an eyebrow at her sneer and fiery response, shoving his hand away from the back of her coat that he had just been hanging on to. A small smirk lifted the corners of his lips as he reached up the hand she had shoved away to flick back his long raven wing hair from his face. "I do not recall receiving such a letter either, Ms. Ollivander." Sirius replied, noting the rolling of her eyes. He was caught slightly off guard when she asked if he should be somewhere with James, who was off bothering Lily Evans as his friend had so often being doing lately. "Like me, you say?" Sirius Black inquired, his voice only a rumble in his throat. The devilish look on her face slightly reminded Sirius of...well, himself. Briefly leaning in closer, dark eyes meeting Danielle's and seeming to darken, he tilted his head to the side, much like a dog would do when spoken to. "You and I both know that isn't true, don't we, darling?" He whispered, having stooped to her ear. Just as quickly as he had leaned in, he straightened up, having no intention of leaving, he gestured for her to board the train ahead of him, slinging his small rucksack over one shoulder and again flicking a strand of hair out of his face.

To say the least, Celeste was slightly surprised by the amused chuckle that came from Severus Snape, who was seated across from her; someone who rarely cracked a smile. She quirked a perfectly-shaped eyebrow, setting her elbows upon her knees as she clasped her hands together in front of her. "It's called sarcasm, Snape. You of all people should be familiar with that," she replied, watching as his dark eyes searched her own; calculating, judging, reading her better than she would like to be possible. Her posture went rigid at his next inquiry, her spine straightening as she looked at him, jaw tightening. His tone might be playful, but he was a Slytherin, much like her, and she sensed the darkness beneath it. "Dani—Ms. Ollivander has nothing to do with this." She hissed, leaning forward again.

Danielle watched Sirius with soft eyes, watching as his face moved closer to her flushed one. His lips seemed to graze against her ear in the most tantalizing way, and she held in a grown that ached to play from her lips. She straightened herself quickly as he pulled away. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she mustered up a glare. "I am not, and will not be your darling, Black. You have no feelings for a girl like me." She twirled around, moving up the stairs of the platform before moving down the aisles. Danielle kept her eyes on each compartment, looking for Celeste. "Why are you following me like some sort of beggar dog, Black?"
—
Severus felt his throat crackle with laughter, throwing his head back at the amusement of her trying to cover this all up. "Oh I believe she does. Why would she be keeping such a close eye on you all of a sudden? I know the girl. She spends just as much time in the library as I do. But..." He trailed off, looking down at the calluses upon his hands with disdain. "I feel like that's going to change this year, don't you?" The smirk upon his curved lips hadn't left since he'd entered the stuffy compartment, that he had disliked ever since his first you. The ebony haired Slytgetin leaned forward, his eyes boring into hers. "You can't keep secrets from me, Ms. Riddle. No one can."
