HFU 2016 - BA Requirements & Questions

I just joined the group and this challenge seems like fun. Do you have one for 2017 or can I join in on this one?

no -- there is not a new one for 2017 --> we've done it for 4 years and you can do any of the previous years.

I began my thread in 2013. I finished my BA and my MA was almost complete. However, now I get the message that my thread is not available. Have they been archived or deleted?

Wanda, this is my fault. I've been cleaning the group threads/topics throughout the year. Most of the threads were archived, but I did delete individual challenge threads that I hadn't seen any activity in. The individual challenge threads I've left are from 2014 on. If it says it's deleted then it was me. Really sorry about this.

So, just to make sure that I am correct in my understanding. My previous posts beginning in the latter part of 2013 are now deleted and I am back to square one? I had not posted in quite a while as I only needed one book to finish my Masters and I was trying to find one that would be acceptable.

Since my thread from my M.A. has been deleted, I would like to start a new thread for this year to work on my M.A. Where would I post my thread? I could not find a place to post for the M.A. under 2016 so where do I post?

Wanda, again sorry about the deletion. I checked again for it, but I don't see it.

As for the MA 2016, I don't think JoLene had created one. I can't find it either. If you would like to take one of the previous MA challenges, you can post it under 2016.

It is fine. However all the posts under 2016 are B.A. So I just post in 2016 but label it M.A. Or go to the 2015 M.A. Thread? Thanks

Yeah -- the MA stayed the same, I only changed the BA each year.

Since my M.A. thread was deleted, do I have to use only books read in 2017 for my M.A. or could I go back and use books read from
January 2015 to the present day?

This is a personal challenge for you so you can set up the time periods that you want to use.

If you want to go back and re-create from what you already did from 2015, that is fine.

Could a book set in Thebes be used for this task?

If it is refering to Thebes in Egypt, it works. But I think Thebes in Greece still goes by same name.

The challenge hasn't been updated specifically in 2017/2018, but you can still do an older version of the challenge.

I think that only the 2016 version has not been archived.
