The Person Below Me
I do hope you are not coming down with anything, Emily.I have been a bit distracted lately. Having problems concentrating is more common to me as I age. I cannot do three things at one time anymore!
TPBM loves the games at the read-a-thon.
Yes, I love the games.TPBM has a favorite sports team. Right now my favorite is my granddaughter’s university softball team.
My favorite team for today is Swarthmore College's Men's basketball team which is playing for the NCAA Div 3 championship TONIGHT. I played women's basketball at Swarthmore, many, many years ago.TPBM takes part in a March Madness pool.
I am. Because I am reading Les Misérables, which is very long, I have to squeeze other books in as I go.TPBM cannot swim.
Back Track- I hate March Madness. I think Synesthesia might be interesting for a day, but annoying any longer than that. I can swim but not very well.TPBM is sooo ready for vacation.
Me me me! We’ve had one day off of school since Mlk Day (mid January) and don’t have another day off until April 19. It’s been a loooong stretch of middle school drama. I planned to take a mental health day this week but wound up needing to take an actual health day instead! But next weekend I’m going to Orlando to tag along with my wife for a conference. Then spring break is at the end of the month so I’ll go away for that! Then my honeymoon this summer to Hawaii!TPBM is a morning person.
I absolutely am a morning person! After lunch, I'm basically useless.
(Steve, the one time I'm grateful to live in Louisiana is in the spring -- we get a whole week off of school for Mardi Gras, and I'm pretty sure that's all that's saved my sanity with these high school kids!)
TPBM has fun Saturday plans. (I'm going see Hamilton!)

Don't I wish...just going off to the thrift stores and to pick up some groceries. I'll be scouring for used books, though, which is always fun.(I imagine a "mental health day" is just that for you teachers. But, a summer in Hawaii sounds delicious and who else gets the week off for Mardi Gras? Enjoy Hamilton, Emily.)
TPBM can still climb a tree.
I Climb trees practically year round. Now that I am over 65 I am told I have to make sure someone is home when I do it. I climb the fruit trees to prune, I climb them to pick fruit, I climb them to retrieve balls thrown into them. It is so much easier than moving a ladder around.TPBM has fruit trees
Yes, I’ve been to Philadelphia.. if only for a day. I remember going to the Barnes Museum, which houses an amazing collection of impressionist art.TPBM enjoys art museums.
Just went to one today. "From impressionism to Modernism" Was pretty good. Wanted more abstract.TPBM does a form of art
My brother is on the spectrum! He wasn't diagnosed until he was in college.
TPBM is eagerly awaiting library holds.
TPBM is eagerly awaiting library holds.
Yes I have 5 of them, they should be here in 2, 4, 6, 10 and 13 weeks respectively 🙃TPBM recently met someone really nice for the first time
Yes, I recently met someone on the train going to work. Now I really look forward to seeing her.TPBM takes a train to work.
Lizzy wrote: "Yes, I recently met someone on the train going to work. Now I really look forward to seeing her.TPBM takes a train to work."
I do not, but my wife does most days. I have a ~40 minute drive both ways each day.
TPBM has never broken a bone.
True. I have made it to the ripe age of 68 without breaking anything and have never been in a hospital. Knock on wood.TBPM hates peeps (you know, those marshmallow chicks that come at Easter time)
Nooooo peeps are my Easter weakness! I hate myself when I eat them, but I always get a box or two each year.
TPBM has read a book (or watched a movie or play) in the last week that has made them cry.

Absolutely! I love spring (and summer). I definitely live too far from equator for my liking (at least half the year), with the dark and grey Danish winters.TPBM often wants to reply here, but refrains, because they can´t think of a question to ask the next person.
I hate peeps with a passion! I am so glad it is spring! I can never think of a question to ask.TPBM wants to reply here but wants to reply to another question and therefore doesn't reply, besides not being able to think of a question.

LOL that is hilarious! sure I want to respond but usually don't so today I did! :)
TPBM is going thru a big life change right now (pregnancy, a move, a wedding or like me a Divorce)
No , not right now..... but I would love to retire (and so sorry about the divorce Kelly, UGH!)TPBM likes to garden.
Just spent 6 hours on my garden, planting, yay; then spent an hour at the senior center weeding. I must love it.TPBM has fruit trees
I don’t have a home right now, but in a month or so my travels will be over and I’ll be back at my mum’s house who has fruit trees. I’m especially excited for the raspberries and the red currants (my favourites! 😋)TPBM likes tangy food
We had a deluge yesterday that ended with some flash flooding, and we are expecting more rain today and Sunday... but that's ok because we hadn't had rain for weeks!
TPBM is looking forward to a good book this weekend.

I sure am! After spending the first 3 months of the year reading the shortlist for the Tournament of Books with some breaks for whatever library holds became available, I am excited to get back to my priority list for 2019.
TPBM has something planned for the outdoors this weekend.
I am, and I'm failing! It's so much fun! I'm like 2 weeks behind at the moment.
TPBM is reading a chonk right now (500+ pages).

I am, The Honorable Schoolboy. I seem to have scheduled a lot of hefty books for this month--not sure I will get to them all. I am also reading in order and know I will be behind by the end of the month.TPBM just finished a book that made them cry.
Oh, yes, I do. Especially the tulips. And, the rapeseed fields are in bloom and they are just blankets of yellow as far as the eye can see. Spring is good!TPBM spent today out in the sunshine.
Nope, I spent the morning stuck in a bus to get to Cusco and the afternoon napping because gosh night buses are horrible 😖 it’s overcast though, so no regrets!TPBM is excited about making a new list for 2020
Yes and no.... I could honestly stay home and read in bed for Easter but with my girls I do Easter baskets and then usually if its my year to have them ( gotta love divorce) we go to my moms for an Easter egg hunt and a big dinner. This is not my year so I will be bringing books to my moms and reading on the couch and napping while I'm waiting to eat Easter dinner lol. We don't do church or anything, although I did talk about Easter, the resurrection, and Jesus with my daughter the other night while we were watching The Chronicles of Narnia.TPBM is having a run of bad luck right now ( I hope not, but I also don't want to be the only one haha)
No ... not having bad luck right now....but, if I say I'm not having bad luck, will that bring me bad luck? You never know!TPBM recycles.
The area where we live everyone recycles to the fullest. I get confused at eat out places on which cutlery is compostable and which is garbage and which cups are what. No plastic bags available at stores anymore, not even the small ones for produce. I sometimes carry more into the store than out. I do my best, tho: have six compost piles, three worm bins, and a wood chipper. I try.TPBM likes flower gardens more than vegetable.
That's tough. Both have their pluses. I love my flower garden, but my vegetable garden produces delicious tomatoes... a slight edge to my flower garden.TPBM has completed 20 ATY prompts.
lolol I wish! I finished #13 yesterday and will hopefully finish #14 tomorrow (although I'm on a Parks and Rec binge at the moment).
TPBM is eating pizza for supper.

I wish! I’ve been stuck in bed for two days eating veggie stock and small pieces of bread 😩 After cooking most of the time during one year of travel and not being sick once, 2 weeks of eating out and I catch something 😒TPBM isn’t a huge fan of the book they’re reading at the moment

Dark Money is not an easy read, but I am glad I am reading it.
The jury is still out on The City in the Middle of the Night
About 100 pages in and it seems to be getting better. It's for the "set in space" prompt and sci fi is not my go-to genre. It was certainly slow going in the beginning.
TPBM like country music.
