message 453: by Tracy (new)

Oops.

TPBM likes frogs

message 454: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments Gotcha :)

Yes, I like frogs.

TPBM tends to stay up way too late at night.

message 455: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments I wonder Johanne is it generally frowned upon to return them late, or do you sometimes appreciate the funding? Also, am I the only person in the world who can never get their library books back on time? Glad you like frogs, we saw lots of them today :-)

I have insomnia most nights or if I do fall asleep I wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble falling back asleep so yes, I stay up way too late. I've been awake since 2am.

TPBM is getting take out for dinner tonight

TPBM has visited a country they wanted to travel to.

message 458: by Johanne (new)

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments True. I´ve been to a few countries I wanted to visit, but there are lots of places I´d still like to go.

TPBM sometimes calls in sick for work to read all day.

@Tracy, definitely not frowned upon where I´ve worked. The extra funding is appreciated :) I think librarians are probably the worst at getting books back on time. I know I am, but I don´t get fees - it´s a perk of working at the library. I do keep track of what there are reservations on, so I don´t keep people from books, and read those first.

Well that makes me feel a little better lol. I'm just reading so slow lately. The next few should be quick though. They're still going to be late. I thought about just returning them but they're challenge reads and books that Im really excited about.

I probably have called out for a mental health day and just read in the past lol, I'm not working right now though and it doesn't look like Im going back before the new year at this point so I have all the time in the world to read.

TPBM hates Halloween and/or other scary holidays

message 474: by Tracy (last edited Oct 15, 2018 07:59AM) (new)

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments Definitely not a fan of Halloween, I don't like the kids bringing home a lot of candy and I hate having to walk around in the cold. I HATE THE COLD. Also lately it seems to rain every year. Halloween is their fathers favorite holiday, so he's the one who gets all excited about it. We do carve pumpkins together though, and I always force myself to tag along. Then I send the candy home to his house so they can be crazy there. This year I am excused from Halloween because my tonsil is coming out on the 29th and I may actually be in the hospital for a few days after depending on my lab work. But if I manage to come home right away, I hope I at least see them in their costumes :-)
I do like scary stuff though, horror and ghost stories and movies, but thats any time of year.

TPBM lives somewhere that it has snowed already

message 475: by Emily, Conterminous Mod (new)

message 485: by Emily, Conterminous Mod (new)

TPBM got more than 7 hours of sleep last night.

message 486: by Sara (new)
