Samantha | 6 comments Hi !
I'm not a new member :) but I don't really know how this works here on the board/forum etc ....
I hope I can post this question/request here ?
I Want to find more books/titles like these ones : Reluctant Muse by Ann Vremont
& Sweet Surrender by Georgette St. Clair.
Anybody know about other books with the same “theme” :
A BBW Heroine that has very little self-esteem and/or is not very self-confident.
Basically a heroine that is shy/insecure and cant believe that the hero could want her and so on !
Hope you know how I mean ?!
Do you know of any books like this ? Please tell me about them either here or message me :)
I have checked through so many lists …. but all I seem to find are sassy BBW's !
Hope someone knows of more books with this “theme” ?

Angela Verdenius and Lissa Matthews write wonderful curvy heroines. I have a listopia of curvy/bbw books. Sexy Curves is the list. There are over 300 books listed there. I know it will have many books you'd enjoy! To pimp my own curvy books See Me by Pauline Allan Gilded Lily (Hot Southern Nights, #1) by Pauline Allan both have bbw/curvy heroines. Sexy Curves will have what you're looking for. :)

McGee Magoo There's a lot of super confident/sassy BBW's out there. But for the girl that's insecure and shy... hmm...

Doctor's Delight (Big Girls Lovin' Trilogy, #1) by Angela Verdenius & Cop's Passion (Big Girls Lovin' Trilogy, #2) by Angela Verdenius come to mind. The women are sassy, but deeply insecure and mistrustful of the hero's desire for them.

Perfect Ten by Michelle Craig - The heroine has some low self-esteem and her family makes her feel like crap.

Making Chase (Chase Brothers, #4) by Lauren Dane The heroine has good self esteem but is constantly told by people and parents that she's fat so she's not really sure why hottie wants to get with her.

Skin (McCullough Mountain, #2) by Lydia Michaels heroine loses a lot of weight in the book and she's very insecure about her weight issues.

Secret Curves (Dangerous Curves #5) by Marysol James This one isn't a BBW, but the heroine used to be a ballet dancer, hurt her knee and gained 80 lbs. Fast forward to the opening of the book and she's gone and starved herself until the hero forces her to get help for her eating disorder. This probably isn't what you were looking for but I JUST read it and the body issues and self esteem of the heroine are still fresh in my memory.

On the Plus Side (Chubby Girl Chronicles, #1) by Tabatha Vargo Heroine is sure that hero has ulterior motives for dating her. She's not very confident. He DOES have ulterior motives and that, obviously is devastating to her.

Night Play (Dark-Hunter #5, Were-Hunter #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Bride was kind of shy and a bit bewildered that Vane was into her.

I really, really like this theme. That's one reason why I have a hard time with the selection of BBW's out there. There's soooo many "I've-got-rockin'-curves-bring-on-the-menage" when I want wooing and (sex too, don't get me wrong) some real body image stuff to overcome.

If I think of more, I'll let you know.

Thank you for the suggestions!
I have some of Angela Verdenius books in my want to read list!
Are all of Lissa Matthews books about curvy/bbw heroines ?
I have read Night Play By Sherrilyn Kenyon and I loooove that book and it kind of fits the “theme” i'm looking for!
On the plus side by Tabatha Vargo & Perfect Ten by Michelle Craig and See Me by Pauline Allan sounds interesting …. will check them out !
I wonder why there isn't more books/titles with insecure /shy BBW's/curvy heroine out there ?
When the heroine has body issues/self esteem issues and is insecure/mistrustful about the hero's attraction/motives …. I don't why but it makes the book more interesting ( maybe because of more angst??)

Thank you all again for all the suggestions!
Hope you or others can think of more books with this “ theme” !

McGee Magoo I think that there's a desire/need for readers to have bbw's that aren't just about weight insecurities. A lot of readers want to see the bigger girl just have a regular, fun or suspenseful romance without making it all about the size of her thighs. I get that, i totally do.

But sometimes I want it to be about weight and self esteem and mistrust, etc. It really gets me in the feels. It's why i seek out BBWS. If you find more like that, feel free to recommend them to me!

Samantha | 6 comments I get that and it makes sense and I also enjoy those books that have sassy and confident heroines in them!
And of course we all want to read about the bigger girl that just have a regular, fun or suspenseful romance without making it all about her size!
But like in real life I want some variety :) Some women and men of all sizes struggle with all kinds of insecurities(mostly about body image)
That is why I also like books with insecure/shy heroines.
The books with insecurities/self esteem and mistrust, pull at the heartstrings more and creates more angst and are so much more memorable!
I want the books I read to be memorable and engrossing.
I hope you all know how mean :)

I love books with shy heroines. I want to read about a knight who takes on a woman he finds at a castle/place he and his other soldiers take over. I want him to take her back to his castle so she can be his servant girl. He's brooding and grumpy and battle hardened. She's shy/submissive who is reluctant because she's been mistreated and ridiculed for her size. He falls for her and she falls for him. So...can I be more specific than that? Give me some titles along this storyline. :)

Wow... that's specific... and AWESOME! You may have to actually write that one to be able to read it, though. :D I'll try to think of something close, but I don't have anything off the top of my head.
