Meg | 1 comments Hello! I am new to Good Reads. I just finished reading From the Corner Of His Eye and am digesting the ending. I was hoping someone could answer a couple questions for me...

***SPOILERS***

First- How were Barty and Junior connected? The "Bartholomew" obsession is explained with Harrison White's sermon. But there has to be a bigger connection between Barty and Junior. Junior was heard speaking Barty's name in his sleep, the night Barty was born. Was the connection between these two just that Barty would end up sharing his life and gift with Junior's daughter?

Second- The first page of the book... "The man who tore the Lampion family's world apart, on the night of Barty's birth, had not been her enemy. He was a stranger, but the chain of his destiny shared a link with theirs." What does this mean? I assume this refers to Nick Deed, the man who hit Agnes' car. But how does his ~destiny~ share a link with theirs?

I look forward to hearing someone else's opinions and thoughts on the book :)
