SOLVED. Romance starts in an orchard, but then he has no memory of her [s]

I am looking for a romance I read a while back. I don't remember a lot but I do remember that the girl is friends with someone in her neighbourhood, who has a brother that comes back home for a bit. When the girl goes over everything is a wreck and she finds the man outside drinking a beer. They end up going to an orchard out back and spending the night star gazing. She wakes up alone and scared. Years go by and she meets him again but he doesn't remember her at all. He thought she was a dream or something he made up. It turns out he was into drugs and believed that the whole thing was a hallucination. Since then she has had a tough life and he feels bad about leaving his dream girl behind in that.
Anyway, I loved the book, but can't remember for the life of me what it's called!
