Catholic wedding seem to be the longest, and yes receptions are usually a lot of fun!!!I got married at the courthouse however, I wasn't really into planning a wedding, and I already had 2 of my 3 kids, so I felt kind of silly planning a big fat wedding :-) and I have no regrets!
I wouldn't marry in a church, I don't think. But still, I love the imagery, and the gowns... If only the priest would be quicker about it LOL
I think my mother will have a big say in where I get married (when I do), I'm not likely to be allowed to have a beach wedding!
That sounds a bit mean, although I wouldn't want to spend the amount some people spend. We've had invites which looked like they'd have cost a fortune on their own!
My dad is extremely generous, however if he thinks something is frivolous are unnecessary, he definitely does not want to spend money on it.Like all my kids need to do is mention to him they want something, and the next day it arrives at my house from Amazon, I need to tell him sometimes not to get them things because I need to buy them something for Christmas or birthday :-)
I saw something funny the other day, it was a post or tweet or something:Mother: You're not getting any more gifts until you get rid of some of your stuff!
Grandmother: here are a 1,000 gifts just for existing

That should be nice ☺ My gran has gotten to the point where we have to look after her now. She's basically blind which makes things really difficult.
Oh yes! A lot of reading tends to get done whenever I spend a few days there, thanks to the fact that I'm usually left alone to read

For tracking, do you girls want to see all the rounds in one post? Or, one post per round?i.e. All in one post:
Part 2 - The Ceremony
