Catholic wedding seem to be the longest, and yes receptions are usually a lot of fun!!!I got married at the courthouse however, I wasn't really into planning a wedding, and I already had 2 of my 3 kids, so I felt kind of silly planning a big fat wedding :-) and I have no regrets!
I wouldn't marry in a church, I don't think. But still, I love the imagery, and the gowns... If only the priest would be quicker about it LOL

My parents were thrilled I didn't have an expensive big wedding ;-)

I have a controlling father, who really did not want to spend any money on a wedding.

My dad is extremely generous, however if he thinks something is frivolous are unnecessary, he definitely does not want to spend money on it.Like all my kids need to do is mention to him they want something, and the next day it arrives at my house from Amazon, I need to tell him sometimes not to get them things because I need to buy them something for Christmas or birthday :-)

I think my gran had a plate like that which said 'if mother says no, ask grandmother'
Too bad my grandmother would always ask my mother if it was okay... LOL
But now that I'm old enough to make my own decisions, she spoils me!
Oh, I'm not complaining! In fact, I'll spend Carnival at her place, just for that, to be spoiled
