Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) I'm checking in! OK I'm going to try to read a book for every description next month, even though it is a short month :-) I just thought I'd put it out there so I'm more apt to do it ;-)
I also have absolutely nothing planned, so I'm open to BR points :-)

message 3: by Tati (new)

Tati hi!

I'll struggle with a few (borrowed book comes to mind), but I'm sure I can arrange something. As for BRs, I'm open to them too!

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Last time we had borrowed book I just borrowed a book from my daughter, even though I technically bought her the book, LOL!
Although I myself do not go to library and borrow books, actually am at the library twice a month for my book club, just never borrow books from library, not sure why

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Maybe we should take five categories to start with, just so we are not all over the place, if that makes sense :-) I'm open to whatever.

message 6: by Tati (new)

Tati I don't even have any libraries near me... Sadly, libraries are not common where I live

message 7: by Tati (new)

Tati Just wait until Danielle shows up, if you don't mind LOL She'll sort things out

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) I don't mind at all :-) just tell me what to read and I'll do it ;-)

message 9: by Tati (new)

Tati You and me both!

message 10: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments Checking in! I'm open to reading whatever and expanding my horizons in Feb :D I'm quite lucky to have a physical library and free membership to a few overdrive libraries in the state. Where do you buy your books from Tati? Have you tried awesomebooks.com?

message 11: by Tati (new)

Tati As I have a Kindle, most of my books come from Amazon.

I buy physical copies from the bookstores. I'd love to be able to buy from sites such as Book Depository, but they all sell in dollars, and the dollar is too expensive for me right now

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Can you use overdrive???

message 13: by Jessa (new)

Jessa (keyapaha16) I am so excited!! I am open to read just about anything! This is my first time, but I read like a freightrain, so I should be able to keep up!

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Very cool! I think the rest of us are pretty seasoned veterans LOL! So if you have any questions just ask, I think this is going to be fun!

message 15: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments @Jessa Excited to have you on board :)

message 16: by Tati (new)

Tati Overdrive? What is that?

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) It is an app and you can borrow books with it, from the library, and there are some libraries in the US at least you can have memberships to, it gives you a really wide variety of choices
So you don't necessarily have to have a library card to your local library, or use a local library, I think the best libraries are the one in Houston and maybe Boston???
I'm not quite sure as far as international users, but it would be worth looking into :-)

message 18: by Tati (new)

Tati Sure will take a look! Thanks!

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Honestly, I get most of my stuff on Amazon as well, it's just easier, I really do need to start using overdrive more, I need to start budgeting, I'm going to have two kids in college next year :-)

message 20: by Tati (new)

Tati It seems I need a library card to get books from there (or am I mistaken?)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Yes, but I believe you can get some library cards online, so you don't need to have a local library, does that make sense???
From what I can tell the Houston library offers the best amount of books, even though there is a fee I believe of $40 for the year, so ultimately it is a lot cheaper.

message 22: by Tati (new)

Tati Hm... I'll have to do some digging

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Where is Danielle???
I'm ready to start planning, how do we want to tackle this???
It's like JUMANJI, so we need to finish parts for those bonus points, how many times do you guys think we can get through this?
Email we should aim for twice and then go from there, but we might be able to get a third or even a fourth time done :-)

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Ignore email, that's my predictor predicting things I'm not going to say ;-)
Someday I just want to type an entire sentence using the words that they think I'm going to use next, LOL!

message 26: by Tati (new)

Tati I have a buddy for Inferno, for the picture description, and another for Passenger, for the transportation description

message 27: by Jessa (new)

Jessa (keyapaha16) I can do Saint Anything for the blue on cover!

message 28: by Tati (new)

Tati If anyone else wants to read Saint Anything, it'd also work for romance novel (also, buddy points).

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) I've already read, but romance will be easy, adult book easy, probably most of the letters will be easy, male and female POV you will be easy, I read a lot of romance, so I'm pretty sure I have a book with a guy in a suit on the cover as well :-)

message 30: by Tati (new)

Tati does anyone have anything they'd like to buddy read for this challenge?

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Let me figure out what exactly I'm going to read and I'm always open to a BR, so if there's anything you are really wanting to read, just let me know :-)

message 32: by Tati (new)

Tati I was thinking of reading these:

The Score (Off-Campus, #3) by Elle Kennedy Appealed (The Legal Briefs, #3) by Emma Chase When I Was Yours by Samantha Towle When Fall Breaks by Julie Solano Ice Like Fire (Snow Like Ashes, #2) by Sara Raasch The White Rose (The Lone City, #2) by Amy Ewing Return to Me (Covington Cove, #1) by Kelly Moran Empire of Night (Age of Legends, #2) by Kelley Armstrong

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) Tati I will definitely read some of those with you, I need to go to my daughter's cheer competition now, so let me look through everything I have, and get back to you either tonight or tomorrow :-)

message 34: by Tati (new)

Tati I've just got a buddy for The Score, on the 10th. That would work for romance or man on the cover.

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) I might join you, but I still need to read The Mistake, but I will definitely do The Appeal with you I just need to read the second book in the series, but I can do that sometime this month :-)
Anybody else know exactly what they are going to read next month???
Also, should we concentrate on a single part, and then MoveOn?
I think a lot of the fun of this challenge last time, was switching things around at the end, it was like a big puzzle :-)

message 36: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments I haven't really got many reads planned for next month as of now. I'll probably start searching / posting on wanted:buddy thread on the last two days of this month

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) That thread overwhelms me, I just honestly search out the BR threads and figure out what I want to read, or if somebody on my team is reading a book, we should try to buddy the R and E books, because we need multiple of those, and we can all do those letters twice :-)

message 38: by Tati (new)

Tati Yeah, that thread can go crazy...

For E, I was thinking of Empire of Night (Age of Legends, #2) by Kelley Armstrong

message 39: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments @Tati
I'm not sure where
-The Score
-Ice like Fire
-Appealed
would fit. Where do you think?

message 40: by Tati (last edited Jan 25, 2016 02:45AM) (new)

Tati The Score would fit for a guy on the cover and romance

Ice Like Fire: new book

Appealed: either couple on the cover, adult book, romance, and man in a suit (I've asked Sarah about that and she okayed it)

message 41: by Tati (new)

Tati I was also thinking of When Fall Breaks for something music related on the cover.

message 42: by Tati (new)

Tati As I've said, the only description that will be nearly impossible for me to do is the borrowed book...

There are no decent libraries in my city (I live in Brazil), and releases take way too long to get here (not to mention, reading is not a thing here)

message 43: by Noella (new)

Noella (kookiemonstar) | 3613 comments Don't worry about it~ There's 5 of us and the max times it can be completed is 4 (even then, not likely we're going to complete it that many times)

It's funny to use a half naked man The Score (Off-Campus, #3) by Elle Kennedy for the best man description XD

message 44: by Tati (new)

Tati Who cares if he's half naked? Nobody said anything about him being dressed LOL

Berit☀️✨ (berittalksbooks) People have beach weddings all the time! :-)

message 46: by Tati (new)

Tati I wouldn't! If I had my way, without having to care about expenses, I'd have a winter wedding, with snow and everything

message 47: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
A friend of mine got married on a day it snowed, and nobody turned up at the wedding! Her wedding photos in the snow were gorgeous though ☺

message 48: by Tati (new)

Tati Those winter wedding picks are always stunning! (At least, the ones I've seen are)

But there is that possibility of no one showing their faces (I think it's sad)

message 49: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I think there are some people who always try to think up excuses to not go to weddings! They can be a bit dull.

message 50: by Tati (new)

Tati Yes, the religious ceremony tend to drag (at least here in Brazil, Catholic priests love talking and talking and talking). But the reception is always awesome! Lots of food, drinks, music... I don't know how other cultures do it, but here, the reception usually ends up around 2 or even 4 AM
