message 101: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments what book is everyone starting with?

message 102: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments I'm beginning with The Fiery Cross (Outlander, #5) by Diana Gabaldon and will start Remembrance (The Mediator, #7) by Meg Cabot when I get it on the 2nd.

message 103: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments I would start with Summoning the Night (Arcadia Bell, #2) by Jenn Bennett and Fairy Tale Confessions by Tish Thawer :)

message 104: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (longy207) | 1581 comments I will be starting with The Luxe (Luxe, #1) by Anna Godbersen or The One (The Selection, #3) by Kiera Cass for a book with a dress on the cover- I haven't decided which one yet

and Escaping Love (Koning Clan, #2) by Debra Smith for with love in the cover

Plus Dirty Talk by Jane O'Reilly for shoes on the cover since it's less than 100 pages- Also just to check would that one still count towards the challenge or is there a limit on number of pages?

Is it ok that I'm starting two categories since both my books in category 1 are paperbacks and I struggle to read two paperbacks at the same time because I can't carry them with me

message 105: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments @Rebecca for this challenge the book has to have at least 100 pages to count, I'm sorry

And it's ok to read all the book you want together, that's not a problem :) I would start 2 books myself: one for the female POV and one for the girl (or woman) on the cover :)

message 106: by Rebecca (last edited Jan 31, 2016 11:09AM) (new)

Rebecca (longy207) | 1581 comments Ok I'm going to swap Dirty Talk by Jane O'Reilly for The Siren (The Original Sinners, #1) by Tiffany Reisz

That would count right?

message 107: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments Yes! :)

message 108: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments And remember when posting reviews to find the highest page counts because we get extra points for pages. :)

message 109: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (longy207) | 1581 comments ok cool sorted then :)

message 110: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (longy207) | 1581 comments and I'm guessing it would be better for the team if I read The Luxe (Luxe, #1) by Anna Godbersen as there's a 500 page addition so more points, it just may take me 5 ish days as I don't have loads of time during the week because of work

message 111: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments You can read the book that you prefer :) and can choose freely, you just have to keep in mind two things:
1) it has to have more than 100 pages to count
2) when you write the review you can find the edition with more pages of the book that you have read :)

message 112: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (longy207) | 1581 comments Ok cool :)

message 113: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6445 comments Ok i am 120% confused. This is going to be like the other challenge right? Random.org will pick the topic(s) (abby started us with 4) we are supposed to do first, and then we read 4 books to complete each topic and then we get a new one once abby has checked our reviews. or are we doing it differently this time?!

message 114: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments No, in this one we have all the goals from the start and we can organize as we wish. That's why I've posted a schedule, so we can accomplish more task and gain more point :)
So you have to check with the scheduel (it's in this thread, at page 2, just be sure to check the last one because I've re-done it three times) and pick a book from the goal that are assigned to you, more or less. :)

message 115: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments starting with the couple on the cover!

message 116: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments Great! I've started with woman on the cover and this evening I would start the book for female POV :)

message 117: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments I have class this morning but, I tend to finish Colleen Hoover books in 1 day!

message 118: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments Oh wow! That would be fast! :)

message 119: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments yes! I have Ugly Love by her that could be used for next round's blue book too!

message 120: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments Ugh, I'm so mad at myself. I'm a receptionist at a fairly quiet office and usually have a book with me to pass time when there's not much going on. But I forgot my Kindle today! :(

You could see what's free to read on pulseit if your internet lets you do that?

message 124: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments you can log into your amazon account and read your kindle books online!

message 125: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90928 comments Mod
As long as they're purchased from amazon you can, it doesn't let you do it with ARCs and stuff though.

message 126: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments just a heads up my internet is going in and out but, i am reading I promise!

message 130: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6445 comments if you use overdrive for library books, you can send the kindle version to the kindle cloud and read on any computer :)

message 131: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6445 comments i already got most of the books needed friday from the library so i will pull out the ones i need to get to first :) sorry i was confused on what was going down this time around

message 132: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments it's okay! I should be getting most of mine in the mail this afternoon!

message 133: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments It was not a problem! :)
Enjoy your reading :)

message 134: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6445 comments So when i finish the ones assigned to me, do i just grab from the other topics?

message 135: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments You can or if you see that someone is a little late with the reading for this round you can read something in her place (I made a lot of example because I do not know how clear are my explanation in english, sorry, but, for example if you finished all the reading for the first round and see that I have some books to read to complete it, you can say to me that you would read a book in my place, and I would read the book for the next round).
And when we are almost finished with the first round I would write another schedule if there is time to menage and finish another round.

message 136: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6445 comments Gotcha :)
last time we did this kinda challenge i made the mistakes of doing a fun team and i had to wait on them all the time. i tend to read quicker than most

message 137: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments my bookmail is here!

message 138: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments I'm planning on reading Cemetery Dance (Pendergast, #9) by Douglas Preston since it just came in from the library. It doesn't fit any of my currently assigned categories, but I could use it for the next round.

message 139: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments anything The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan could be used for?

message 140: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments Heather wrote: "anything The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan could be used for?"

Male POV and wedding venue/honeymoon off the top of my head, maybe perfect wedding weather? (Though that's probably a stretch lol)

I love Pendergast! *_* And it's not a problem :) As soon as you'll finish it post the review and ask for the point :)

message 143: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments i'm reading a female POV book at the moment and a male POV book I will finish today!

message 144: by Sibil (new)

Sibil | 2361 comments I've posted the reviews for the first two books! :)
But I've made a mistake! I was really sure that the description "with a girl on the cover" was mine, so I've requested the point!
But it's Brooke's goal, in the first round. So if you are already reading the book for this goal you'll take the spot in the first round and I take the goal for the second (in the end is the same, but sorry for the mistake!!!)

message 145: by Abby (new)

Abby | 5404 comments Yay, we're on the board! I'm juggling three books at the moment, so it's slow right now for me. But I'm definitely reading.

message 146: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments I will be finishing a book for male POV Tonight
