LGBTQ, POC, disabilities are various issues and themes touched on in various genres of fiction. Compared to the grand library of fiction, they are, in some way under represented, however it is a growing area! So, if you're interested in LGBTQ, disability, and other diverse literature, or if you simply want to broaden your reading, then this is the challenge for you! If you need any suggestions, Sam will have a big list of diversity themed novels which she will put up soon.

Level 1: 1-5 books
Level 2: 6-10 books
Level 3: 11-15 books
Level 4: 15+ books

So to participate all you have to do is declare the level you want to pledge. Make sure to update your progress along the way. The challenge starts once you make your pledge and ends on January 1st, 2017.

I'm almost done with the list! There are a lot more diversity books this year than there were last year, but we could always have more diversity.

Rinji | 490 comments Hey have a question. I have a few books that deal with lesbian and gay romances they are works of contemporary romance. Do those count toward this challenge? Just wanted to make sure.
