I finished reading I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak last night, and I'm still thinking about the story and what a fantastic piece it really is - huge thanks to everyone who has ever recommend this book because I absolutely loved it.

I Am the Messenger is a brilliant book Michelle:) Did you read The Book Thief yet? One of my all time favourites:)

It is fantastic isn't it! The Book Thief is one of my favourites too - I think it was the first book I picked for the Summer challenge actually.
Come to think of it, my love of The Book Thief is probably what tipped the scales in deciding to read I Am the Messenger. Being the same author etc and of course there's always the hope that you'll discover more of the magic :)

That's a shame:(

Nicola, your #2 says author "P" - and she doesn't. Have you perhaps put the wrong book there? You've done well though:)

My brain is mush these days - 11 hours days at work is not helping! read 2 books together and then mixed up the titles and names! So I might only have finished 3....
Thanks for picking it up! :)

If it makes you feel any better Anna, I just finished my second today, and I'm definitely not going to finish the challenge (not in February, anyway!).
So far, I've read:
Book 2. 2,1 - Mystery, author name "B..." - As Darkness Falls by Bronwyn Parry - 3.5★
Book 3. 2,4 - Mystery, author name "S" -
Dominion by C.J. Sansom - 4 or 4.5★ - I can't decide - it was a spine-chilling political suspense novel - normally I would say "political suspense" is a contradiction in terms (and, OK - the suspense part came from the story of people working as part of the Resistance rather than the actual politics, but still...) but I was swept up in the story at times and on the edge of my seat!
I may get my first spin - YA, author name "M..." - Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight finished (I think I'll start it soon), but I certainly won't get to a fourth - I don't even have a suitable HF written by an author with a "P" in their name on hand!
Kathryn wrote: "I don't even have a suitable HF written by an author with a "P" in their name on hand!..."
The Soldier's Wife by Pamela Hart was my choice for exactly that Kathryn...and I'm so glad I read it!

I had originally chosen Mary Bennet by Jennifer Paynter then realised it wasn't at one of my nearest local libraries so changed it to The Island House by Posie Graeme-Evans, but I still haven't picked this one up, and don't have time to read it anyway!

Oh - is it? I hadn't even got to the point of checking out its size! Another good reason to ignore it just at the moment!
Well not HUGE, but over 450 pages:) I've had it for ages here, waiting patiently on my Aussie Author shelf;)

One of these days...!

Well I completely take back my previous post about the lacklustre start of Big Little Lies. I was absolutely enthralled, once I got past the first 100 pages or so.
