Very good book. Made me upset when the cries for help were not addressed.
Good book, once the battle began I couldn't put it down.
Glad you liked it. I enjoyed talking with Mitchell on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show. It gave me yet another perspective on the story.
Excellent book!! My heart just broke for those brave men. So sad that it was handled that way.

I read the book and watched the movie. I was shocked at the hold up from the annex and the lack of support.
It was the CIA station chief who is responsible. Not HRC.
Yeah, I know. I don't get why they didn't get the green light.
Clinton told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee she took responsibility for not adequately protecting U.S. personnel in the Sept. 11 attack.
That was the diplomatic thing to do. But the death of the men lies squarely in the hands of the station chief, who had a long history of being slow to respond in the face of danger.

This was an excellent book. I've seen interviews with the guys involved and they have their political views on the subject, but the book was as apolitical as it could be...They gave a great historical recap of Libya and the Benghazi region!
The movie was well done as I recall. It also didn't get into the politics of the aftermath. Lately, they movie versions have been pretty good.
I've read all of the following before seeing their movie versions:
American Sniper, Lone Survivor, 13 Hours and The Horse Soldiers (Movie coming January 16th).

I also feel the blame belongs with Hillary and the leadership of her State Department. They should have never let the ambassador go to Benghazi Annex on 9/11. He should have stayed at the Embassy.
They also put way too much trust in local security forces... who have always been unreliable and open to bribery.
