Not even close to being Jane Austen but a harmless bit of fluff for a diversion. I liked Donovan Darcy better than Lizzie. He wasn't deliberately being rude to her and she just kept misjudging him over and over. The dogs are adorable and it's worth watching the final scene. Bliss looks straight at the camera with her big, liquid black eyes. This movie sure made me want a puppy.

I watched this too. Not a stringent modernizing of P and P but still a cute rom-com. Frances Fisher was great and mean as the Lady Catherine character and the guy playing Darcy was HOT.

They changed the setting to New York but otherwise the plot was mostly the same. It might reair on be online on Hallmark channel's website. The dogs are the best part.
