Hi everyone!!! Hope you are all doing well!!! My wife and I FINALLY got caught up on the new season. I tell you, this show keeps on getting better and better, but of course they are since the books are awesome!!!! Cersei's character in the show is getting more and more cunning and I hate to say it, but she is becoming a favorite of mine. It is funny how Jamie is becoming more and more gentle and "fair", but then again all of his children have died horrible deaths. That would traumatized anybody and either instill bitterness or humility in them.

Yes. Jaime improves but Cersei goes the other direction.

I agree, I always kind of liked Jaime, he has a sense of humor, like his brother, Tyrion. Even though he pushed Bran out the window, which was unforgivable, he and Cersei have always been interesting characters to me. I don't think he was ever much of a father, though.

I am so caught up in the things that are wrong that I can't enjoy it. I am having a lot of trouble with them showing everyone who pushed Bran in episode 1.

Ok I have had time to process. The credits were awesome. The music and costumes were great. I would not have even known who was who if I had not read the books. I pictured people differently. They move too quickly. My biggest problem was Jamie. I hate Jamie, I love Jamie. In the book by the time Jamie has his own chapter I hate him. Why is he there already being all Jamie. I have to hate him first. This is never going to work. Maybe I will watch another episode but I'm a purist and I want them to stick close to the book. I just don't know.

Ruin it for everyone? Don't we all expect them to get together in the end? GRRM has taken 20 plus years to write this story. Isn't he not writing because he is upset we all figured out what is going to happen. At this point people cant be serious about being upset about spoilers.

I am not sure. I don't even know where I heard that and to be honest I am not sure any sources can be trusted where what George does is concerned.

So I watched Season 1 episode 2 last night. I am better now but this is all moving too fast. I feel like too many necessary details are getting lost. I don't see how any of it would make sense if you didn't read the book.

Yes I agree Roseanne. I watched the show, read the books, then rewatched. (A bit of overlap but basically that's what I did)

As I started reading I soon learned that I had no understanding of what the hell I had been watching on my first go at the show.

No official date has been announced although I saw "121 days to go" on Facebook. Not sure if that is correct or not.

I do know they said the premiere would be in the Summer not the Spring because they neededto film during the winter time.

I watched episode 4 last night. I also read online that Lady Stoneheart is not in the show. How could GRRM let them cut that out?

Stone heart is a disappointment. I don't know why they cut her out. She seems like a big thing in the book. After the 2nd season everything goes on its own path. I don't like the Dorne story line either.

I cant believe they cut that out. She is one of my favorites. I am better now and I enjoyed the last episode I watched but I dont understand how anyone can watch this and not read the book. I think I would miss way to much without having read it.

No. lol I told my mother to read the books because they are 10x better, but she said no. So much more goes on! Movies and shows should be exactly like the books.
