Seth lay stretched out on the couch, finally home after a long day at the police station, he groaned as he laid there, his back extremely hurt and he couldn't sit up without wincing or hissing in pain, his pet cat laid on his exposed chest, he didn't care and could care quite less.

Adrian came into the house, also home after a long day but at the staff lounge where they had been having a meeting about local fires and hellfire and what they could do about the situation. It was hot; so he took his shirt off and found Seth lying on the couch. He smirked and jumped onto it next to him. "Hey, babe." He leaned in for a kiss.

" Hey back," Seth mumbled, but he couldn't lean up for a kiss, his back still hurt, but he opened his eyes and looked up at Adrian, " How was your day?" Seth mumbled.

"It was alright. Alright meaning terrible. Lounge meetings are the worst and—hey, what's wrong with your back? You alright, hon?" he frowned. Sometimes Zander got into trouble for doing rather nasty things like jumping to high places, jumping FROM high places and more.

" Just the normal Criminal beats up cop day, dumbass hit my back pretty hard, I can't move without wincing in pain, causing more pain, or hissing in pain," Seth says, he tried sitting up, but ended up gasping in pain and laying back down.

"Need anything to fix it up a bit? Damn criminals. I saw you on the news the other day, something about a drug bust?" he prompted a new conversation matter that could lead anywhere no doubt.

"Who was this state's most—oh, right, Valencio." Valencio was an old bully who had made fun of Adrian for being gay, but that's alright now that he's unarmed and not able to hurt anyone anymore.

" I'm glad I finally caught the bastard, he said a few things about you though and I just ended up beating the crap out of him on live tv, got reprimanded for it though," Seth mumbled remembering the incident a few days ago.

"What did that damn idiot say about me?" he asked, standing up to narrow his eyes down at Seth, but they both knew the narrowed eyes were directed to Valencio. To be perfectly honest, Adrian had a crush on Valencio and thought he was homosexual when he went to kiss him one day but Valencio threw him off him and started bashing him up in the playground. "What did he say?" he repeated.

Seth finally was able to sit up after the cat removed it self, " Babe sit down, okay, I already took care of the bastard for what he said, and I rather not think of what he said alright, they had hurt me just as much as they're gonna hurt you when I tell you them," Seth mumbled.

He nods, kissing Seth on the lips. "I'm sorry, I've just had a rough day, obviously not as much as you have though. Ugh, times are tough, but now I'm off work. I've got three days off. I'm open arms to you, my darling."

Seth had kissed Adrian back when kissed, he sighed softly, " I'll call the chief tomorrow and see if I can have a few days off," Seth mumbled, it would have to take both him and his partner to be able to get Seth a few days off of work.

"Thanks. I've still got that reservation for tonight at the Lounge." The Lounge was a gay club where they had both met each other and hung around there ever since. "Larry the barman is hoping to look for a lover and we should help him."

Seth laughed, " I love it too babe," Seth then remembered something, he stopped dancing and quickly went towards the door where his bag rested on the table next to it, he began rummaging through his bag.

"What are you looking for?" he asked, narrowing his eyebrows and leaning over to Seth's bag too to see what he was doing. It was quite mysterious if anything.

Seth ducked behind the file cabinet next to the table, he narrowed his eyes and reached into his bag, he pulled out two guns, " Take one, you'll need it," Seth says to Adrian, he then popped his head out, narrowing his eyes, looking around to see who was firing at them.

He had been trained with guns in his fire department. Just in case fire and criminal intertwined, he was ready for something to go wrong. And that was now. He took it from Seth and aimed it at whatever slinking shadow he could see.

He checked the living room and didn't find anything but then he checked the bathroom and found a guy in a black hoodie hiding behind the bath. Adrian's eyes widened as he shot the man in the arm and took his firearm. "SETH!"
