Seodoa | 3 comments I read this book in the US in the late 1980s, although the book could very well be older than that. We had quite a few old hand-me-down children's books.

It's a short picture book where a woman muses about the meaning of the arrangement of the letters on her typewriter, imagining what a QWERTYUIOP or ZXCVBNM might be if they were real things. I wish I remembered more. No matter how I try searching for the book, I can't seem to find information about it anywhere. It was a favorite of mine and I'd like to find it again.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5084 comments Do you remember the cover?
Part of a series?
Were the illustrations realistic, colorful, etc?
Time period /location story takes place?

Seodoa | 3 comments Tab, thank you for your response.

It's been so long that I can't say for certain I remember the cover. I believe it featured the (older) woman at her typewriter (possibly looking out a window?) It was illustrated fairly simply, I believe mostly just line drawing. I don't remember if it was color or not, but if it was it wasn't particularly colorful.

It wasn't part of a series of any kind as far as I recall. The location and time period aren't specified, although I'm pretty sure it takes place entirely within the main (only?) character's house.

Seodoa | 3 comments That's it! Thank you, so much! I was working with such a fuzzy memory of the book I was sure I'd never find it again. You are some kind of wizard.

You're welcome. I don't know if I would have found it without that blog, which showed up in search results. Turns out however there are several books or stories about QWERTYUIOP, which surprised me.
