Which would mean Tom gets to be in King's Demons, which I think would be fun.

He was grumpy because his companions were always trying to boss him around or Peri couldn't move on from that one time he accidentally tried to strangle her.
He deserves a Yaz or a Nyssa.

Ah … yeah … I’m just gonna move into the next room now.

If you could give the Doctor an alien companion, who would you pick?
Top 3 picks, extra points if you have a specific Doctor in mind.
My list:
One of the shapeshifters: a Zygon, a rutan or maybe one of those Cactus faced aliens from 'End of time'.
Save on budget as they'd shift into a human form/actor.
A weeping Angel
Ice Warrior: Completely impractical, I know, but I love those guys.
I'd definitely pair him with a short Doctor, so he'd be constantly towering over the Doctor.
Honorable mentions:
A Movelion: paired with either the sixth or tenth Doctors
The Wire: The idea of a hologram that sounds like a snotty upper class woman, trapped in the Tardis systems appeals to me.

“Cactus faced aliens” Yep, I’d go for that. 😹
Zygon, again yep. I do love me some Zygons.
But to be honest, I really want to see a Silurian traveling with the Doctor and another human, with the two companions constantly bickering about whose planet the Earth actually is. And pretty much every other alien race they encounter says: “You’re both Terrans, grow up!”

Silurian was on my original list, but I wanted to trim it down to a reasonable number and I kept thinking that instead of a companion, I'd rather just see Madam Vastra and Co. get their own show.
Which is why I didn't have Sontarion on my list either.

I’ll probably be starting #4 this weekend. 😸

And Strax is in …

my thought is any idea I had would just get compared to Strax or Vastra.
Though, years ago, I had a idea for a "defective" Sontarion clone, who was a pacifist and traveled with the Doctor.

That would be cool. I like that.

Think that'd be a good combination.

Liz Shaw and Jo Grant: Happened in a n novel and blew me away with a brilliant, simple idea that was.
Harry Sulivan and K-9

Actually now that I’m thinking about it, I might have gotten it wrong, it might have been Mel and Ace, not Mel and Peri in the Big Finish thing I saw. But the. Again it might have been Mel and Peri. I don’t remember.

Mel and Ace would be a good combo too.
Not a huge fan of Mel as sole companion, but I think she'd work better in a combo

Just seems like that would just be the two of them walking around going:
'What's he talking about?"
"No idea."

Yeah! 😹😹😹

I’ve made another Doctor Who list. This is for the Unbound Doctors. Books or audios that feature Doctors that are not from the televised sequence of Doctors: Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee, T Baker, Davison, C Baker, McCoy, McGann, Hurt, Eccleston, Tennant, Smith, Capaldi, Whittaker, Gatwa, etc.

Please feel free to add any books or audios that feature other or Unbound Doctors.
