I have a speculative fiction novel, set in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It was actually published traditionally for about a year, but the publisher died and now I'm rereleasing it on my own steam.
The book is called Nails in the Sky. It's speculative science fiction novel, set in Eastern Cape, South Africa. It tells the story of 3rd year university student, Alex van der Haar, who is terrified to find out that his friends and family are disappearing into thin air. What's worse, though, is that he's the only person who seems to remember they ever existed at all.
I've had one review so far, which might help you guess at the tone of the book. South African writer, Hagen Engler said: "Duncan Reyneke has effected a vibrant, exciting fusion here. He combines an authentic, funny youth voice with philosophical musings and kick-ass sci-fi. He has you arching a conceptually impressed eyebrow even as you wince at the spleen-bruising ultraviolence."
I have free copies available in Mobi and PDF, I'd love to hear back from you.
