Personality: Carter has a tendency to get attached to people too quickly, but that doesn't mean she trusts them immediately. She's a strong, independent woman who, according to her close friends, is extremely brave and defied the odds when it came to surviving her abusive relationship. Carter is humble, compassionate and honest, but by no means does that make her a softie. She experiences occasional anxiety attacks that are triggered by the smell of cigarette smoke and alcohol, but she has methods on how to handle them.
History: During her senior year in high school, Carter met Ryker Haymond. (view spoiler) She fell hard for him and started to abandon her studies, along with her sister and friends. He drug her to parties, encouraged her to drink so much that she would get sick, and abandon her to hang out with his friends. After graduation, his recklessness increased. He took her to random abandoned buildings that he called their "escape from reality." He made her feel loved, and she lost her virginity to him. After the first time, he craved more, to the point where every time they hung out they slept together. That's not what Carter wanted in a relationship. Every time she told Ryker "no" he hit her. She felt cornered; she loved him, but she hated the way he treated her. Her last night with Ryker he had taken her to an abandoned warehouse that just so happened to be a vampire's nest. Dean Winchester, and his brother Sam, were already on the scene hunting when they heard Carter scream. There were no vampires in sight, however, Ryker had pinned the bloody Carter to a wall threatening her. Her blood attracted the vampires hiding in the shadows and a fight ensued. Not only was that night Carter's first encounter with the supernatural world, but it was also the night Dean saved her life.

Sam sipped on a cup of coffee at a little cafe he had found on his way into town. He scanned the local newspaper for any mysterious sightings or death. Granted, him and Dean already had a case to work on, but if there was another creature on the loose, maybe they could kill two birds with one stone... A waitress swung by his table to ask him if he wanted a refill on his coffee. He politely declined before she went back into the kitchen to check on his breakfast order.

Dean was working on his Impala, seeing as it had been acting quite strange for the past few days, his eyes were on the girl who walked into the cafe across the street, he noticed her from somewhere, but didn't know where from. Dean shrugged his shoulders and focused on his Impala, his thoughts suddenly went to Carter, the girl he had saved a few years ago, suddenly he remembered the girl that had walked into the cafe. ' Zander Milani, the girl that Sam had caught unexpectedly from falling off the most tallest building in California, I'm surprised she's here, why is she here in this big town? I thought she would've choosen a smaller town or city,' Dean thought as he worked. Dean shook his head to clear his thoughts of Zander and instead focused on his thoughts of Carter, he slightly winced at the memory of himself holding her broken body in his arms, trying to calm her.

Sam's ears perked at the sound of someone coming in through the cafe doors. He heard the waiter tease a customer, most likely a local regular, and he peered over his shoulder to see who it was out of curiosity. Zander Milani. How could he forget her? They had only met twice, but both times were under insane circumstances. The first being when he caught her from falling off the tallest building in California, and the second when her science experiment on a chimera went in a horrible direction.

Dean kept working on his impala, he had this weird feeling something was going on in the cafe, but ignored it, knowing it was probably something having to do with a customer, he then looked up remembering he had heard her say one time to Sam that she got panic attacks sometimes about the incident of falling off a building. He didn't know why he was remembering that, he shook his head again, knowing Sam would help her out, he kept working and thinking about Carter.

Her anxiety attacks had been occurring every day that week to the point where she just stayed in bed all day. Occasionally, Zander would come over to check on her or bring her food, but today Carter had been the one who forced herself out of bed. She needed to do something, anything really, to escape from her mind. She twisted the faucet off and slipped into the warm waters, already feeling calmer. She laid in the bath so the water could lick at her chin and the rest of her body was submerged. Her cell phone sat in arms reach, just in case Zander needed to get a hold of her.

Dean kept his mind on Carter, he then suddenly wanted to go see her, he texted Zander, asking for Carters address, he waited patiently for her to answer his text. Dean tapped his foot and waited, he didn't mind waiting, he knew she would need a while to calm down from a panic attakce.

Carter had absentmindedly chosen one of her apple crisp bath bombs. It made her think of summer and orchards and pie. Pie. Dean loved pie, she remembered. He would never shut up about it. The memory brought a smile to her lips. She hadn't smiled in a long time.

Dean waited, no impatiently, he jumped when his phone buzzed, he looked at it and he closed the hood, he then got into the drivers side, pulling carefully out of his parking space, he then drove onto the busy road. Dean planned to talk to Carter, wanting to know more about her, but as he passed a place that had a pie logo on it, he licked his lips, almost tempted to stop and get two pieces of pie, one for Carter and one for himself.

Carter let the water soak into her skin. Finally, her thoughts were quiet, allowing her to be by herself in peace. She spent a half an hour soaking in the tub until the tips of her fingers shriveled up like prunes. Cautiously, she pulled herself up out of the tub and wrapped a towel around her body and under her armpits.

Dean had decided to pull over and stop, he grabbed his keys, got out of the car and walked inside of the pie bakery, he grinned as he walked inside, he was also tempted to get a piece of pie for Zander for later when he would see her about something she wanted to talk to him about, he remembered getting a phone call from her this morning, he sighed and shook his head. Carter entered his mind again and he got the pies, he then hurried back outside and put the pies into the passenger seat, he buckled them in, and then got into the drivers side. Dean buckled up and drove onto the main road again, about ten minutes later he was a block away from Carters house.

Carter took her hair out of its bun, letting it flow onto her shoulders. On her way to her closet, she turned on her radio, humming along to the song that was currently playing. She flicked the light switch in her closet on and scanned through the hangers for a clean pair of leggings and another hoodie to throw on. She wasn't planning on going anywhere, or having anyone other than Zander to come over, so what was the need for a bra or underwear?

Dean pulled up to the house, he looked at the message and then up at the house, he looked at the address and smiled, he grabbed one of the Apple pies and then grabbed the (Carters favorite flavor) pie. He got out of the car and turned it off, he grabbed his keys and walked up to the house.

Carter's radio was turned up just loud enough that she couldn't hear anything happening outside of her house. She let her towel fall onto her closet floor and she slid into a pair of leggings. She was reaching for a sweatshirt from a hanger when she heard a knock at her front door. "Come in!" she yelled, thinking it was just Zander.

Dean thought twice about this, he opened the door but didn't come in, " Umm! Carter, it's not Zander, it's me Dean!" Dean called, he didn't come in yet, he stayed by the door, after walking in and closing the door.

Carter swore under her breath. "Just a minute!" she called out. She fumbled with getting the sweatshirt off the hanger and throwing it over her shoulders. She snatched her towel off the floor and twisted her wet hair into it, wearing it like a cone-shaped hat. Cautiously, she left her room and made her way to the entryway. "What are you doing here?"

" Me and Sammy are in town on a case, we'll be here for a while, I was outside your sisters cafe unintentionally, and when I saw her walk in, I instantly thought of you, I was working on the impala, thinking of you then I decided to ask your sister for your address so that I could come and see you, I brought you pie," Dean says and then he handed Carter the pie container containing her favorite pie.

"You didn't," she graciously took the box of pie and headed to the kitchen. "Come in!" she told Dean over her shoulder. She ransacked the drawers for a fork, popping open the container of lemon meringue. "Zander goes to that cafe everyday. Do you want a fork?" Her mind was scattered now that Dean was a couple of feet away from her.

Dean smiled, " I did and yes I would enjoy eating my pie with a fork," Dean says with a small laugh as he followed Carter to wherever she was, he looked around, Zander's house was kinda bigger, he knew she threw her entire life savings into it, at least that's what he remember her telling him. Dean shook his head to clear his thoughts of Zander, ' I need to stop thinking of Zander, I like Carter, not her sister,' Dean thought.

She smiled at him, handing him a fork as she dug into her pie. "What type of creature brought you here this time?" The way she was behaving threw her off guard. It was as if she thrived while she was around Dean. He was like a drug. Carter tried to memorize all of his features - the light stubble on his chiseled chin, his warm smile, his mesmerizing eyes. Once he left, she could easily fall into relapse.

Dean smiled, " Don't know yet, I'm starting to fear that it was one of your sisters experiments again, but then again, she hasn't been working on anything lately has she?" Dean asked as he looked at Carter, he had read through his brothers messages and had seen that Zander had been feeling kinda down lately, so he wondered if she had been working on things.

"It's not like she planned a murder spree with the last thing she had in her lab," Carter defended her sister with a mouth full of pie. After swallowing, she proceeded to answer his question. "She's moved onto vampires," her voice had suddenly become barely audible. The towel on top of her head shifted slightly, and she excused herself from the room. Carter practically ran to the bathroom to take care of her damp hair, not wanting to talk about vampires, but not wanting to waste precious time with Dean.

" First off, I know she didn't exactly plan on killing her entire town with a chimera, and second, it's nice she moved onto something else," Dean says as he ate his pie, he sighed happily and smiled,

Carter turned off the radio that was still playing in her room. "I guess," she replied from the other room. She brushed through her hair to untangle any remaining knots.

" How have you been lately?" Dean asked, changing the subject, since the topic of Zander and her experiments and everything was a kind of touchy topic.

The waitress came by and gave Sam his check. He reached in his pocket for his wallet and pulled out a twenty. "Keep the change," he told the girl, who smiled graciously. He turned his attention back to Zander, whose eyes lit up as she was talking about her new experiment. That kind of hope made Sam happy for her, and he wished he could experience the same feeling but he knew that was impossible. "What made you want to study this?"
Carter did one last check up in the mirror before returning to the kitchen. "Honestly, not very well." She wasn't the type to talk about her feelings, and knew Dean wasn't either, so she hoped he would move on to yet another topic.

Dean sighed softly, he nodded and looked up, " Okay, umm, watch anything good lately? Listened to anything?" Dean asked as he looked at the ceiling and then back down at where his eyes leveled with whatever he was looking at before.

Carter shrugged. She finished off the rest of her pie and threw the container in the garbage under the sink. "I've been on a James Bay kick lately. He's more of an indie contemporary type of musician." She figured Dean wouldn't have heard of him since all he had a tendency to listen to was rock.

" Greetings Zan, newcomer and other customers," the guy says with a British accent, he sighed softly as he made his way over to Zander and Sam, he didn't know what Sam was and he didn't plan on knowing either.
Dean nodded, " I know of him, lately I have been listening to him," Dean replied as he looked at Carter, with a smile.

"I don't believe you," Carter spoke slowly, saying one word at a time as she leaned closer to Dean from the other side of the counter. "What's your favorite song of his?"

The vampire came closer to the two, he didn't notice the messenger bag being exchanged, " Hey Zander," the vampire says.
" Hold back the river," Dean replied, leaning even closer to her with a grin.

Carter bit her lip. "A good one, but not my favorite."

" Oh come on baby, you know you liked it," Manny says with a grin as he grabbed her arm tightly, his eyes flashed.
" Sam was right, I don't know how I trusted you," Zander growled, she tried ripping her arm from his grip, but he didn't let go. Zander struggled to get free of his grip.
Dean was smiling at Carter when he got a text from Sam, he ignored taking it that his brother was just checking in on him again.

Carter cleared her throat nervously. "Was that your phone?" she asked.

Dean sighed, " Yeah, better check it," Dean says, he pulled it out, he turned it on and then began waiting for it to load.

Carter tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and studied Dean's facial expression as he read the text. "Is something wrong?"

Deans eyes widened, " Crap, Zander's in danger," Dean says, he put his phone away and hurried towards the door, " Your welcome to come if you want Carter, but hurry up," Dean says quickly before opening the door.

"What?" Carter's voice rose a couple of octaves. She slipped on some shoes as she followed Dean out the door. "It must be that stupid vampire she befriended."

Zander gasped, the coldness of the blade seeping into her neck, she squirmed once, but was still again, she looked at Sam.
Dean got into the drivers seat of the impala and he waited for Carter to get in.

Carter hopped in the passenger's seat. "I specifically told her to not get involved with the supernatural world anymore." In all honesty, she was furious with her sister. She didn't understand why Zander had chosen to study the sciences of supernatural creatures, especially after she was almost killed by vampires.

" Sam! Stop talking!" Zander gasped out.
Dean shrugged, " You can't stop Zander, you know she's stubborn as a prick," Dean replied as he drove quickly back towards the cafe, where both his brother and her sister was.

Carter disregarded Dean's comment, but spotted her sister and Sam in the alley. "There right there!" she exclaimed, pointing at the man who held Zander at knife point.

Dean pulled up and got out, he hurried over to Sams side, he looked into the eyes of the vampire.
Manny growled, " Come any closer and she dies," Manny growled.

Carter didn't follow Dean. Instead, she dug through his glove box for a weapon before remembering about the stash in the trunk. She snatched a knife before sneaking around the other side of the restaurant to surprise him from behind. She figured she would have a chance if the boys distracted him.

Zander gasped when more blood was drawn from her neck, she was losing consciousness.
Manny growled, " Do you realize the pain I go through being a vampire, do you realize why I want to become human again?" Manny asked, he was trying to get them to go away.

Carter slowly crept up on the man holding onto her sister. She would wait until Sam or Dean gave her some sort of signal so they were prepared to follow suit.
