Geez, I don't know why but I get such a kick out of checking off boxes and seeing how bad or "well" I've done on any of the literary lists on the website List Challenge! The most recent one I did was the best though! It was for the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die challenge! This list has all the editions combined so the list is actually over 1300 books! So I started clicking away! My results? 103! Do you dare to take the challenge? If so how did you do? Please let us know! http://www.listchallenges.com/1001-bo...

I discovered this recently too and thought it was a lot of fun to go through the list and check books however my results were less than impressive. 34 books. I will be working on improving this though.
Ah! The list is quite challenging. This may shake your nuts and bolts.Let's go for a comparatively easy read.
I've read 96. There were quite a few that I thought I may have read but didn't check. There were also many books I didn't see there - should have written them down as I thought of them - but Pippi Longstocking but no Secret Garden? I didn't see The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. No Les Miserables by Victor Hugo? It was fun though and there are many there I MUST get to! Will definitely bookmark this list.

Your brain does shut off after a couple hundred books, especially if they are author's whose works muddle together in the brain a bit. I can never keep track of which Austen or Bronte sisters works I've read, they all blur together for some reason.
Going by memory I checked off 151 which puts me at about the 10th percentile I have a lot more of them in my to-read list too. I think a lot of the books that were added to the later edition are pretty obscure not many people have read.
83! That's not bad at all, considering i haven't worked through the list yet. Plus i noticed quite a many to-reads/book-shelfed. For now Bookmarked, will get to it next year. Lets see how many more i can tick off without actually targeting the list.
I guess I'm in the low end for this crowd....34 books! Hmmm....I think I've spent too many years spinning off in fantasy worlds. I'm so glad for book groups like this one that nudge me into other genres. Looking forward to reading some more this year.
I've read 76 books. I tend to read a lot of other kinds of books so, as long as I read at 2 books a month I'm good with that.

My number is 31. I think it is a good start . Definitely looking forward to reading more from the list !
Blimey! My number is a very low 16!! Even with the 2 books on there I didn't complete (therefore did not count) I am still under 20! I have a few on my TBR so I shall try and rectify this asap.
I counted 45, I think it is a good start. I wonder how they make this list? I am sure people read great books that are not on the list. I did not see much fantasy/sci-fi.
I got 66. But I don't remember seeing any Shakespeare. Thought some of his play would be on the list.

Wow Moray, 195 is excellent!

I think the list tries to stick primarily to novels, novellas, and short stories. Which in my opinion is kind of a shame, because there are so many excellent plays out there!

I have started reading a new book named "Cuentos de amor, de locura y de muerte(Tales of love, madness and death)(Annotated)(Translated)Horror Story in English" from amazon. This is actually a Spanish book but translated in English. I must say the translation is very good.I almost finished reading it.
Amazon link(Not affiliated):https://www.amazon.com/Cuentos-madnes...
I found only this book translated in English. All other books in amazon are in Spanish and I don't know Spanish. If you want to read then just copy the link.
