At first I didn't think I'd like this one but after getting through the immediate character intros, I got hooked. The globe, the um, incident etc. made it a nicely paced mystery so far. How about you?

I think it will be interesting to read about making snow globes! I didn't know it was an actual hobby. I am on chapter 2 and I think I need to go back and re-read because I'm starting to mix up the characters. How's everyone else doing?
Yeah, text is so tiny, it's easy to miss. And that's fine, Nicole. Even I can manage that. lol
Spoiler alert --
Not such a good idea to bring up that touchy (ex) issue at a class she's teaching. Not good for teacher's rep nor the business which welcomed her. But I guess if she didn't, there'd be less of a mystery, conflict.
That's pretty clever, tying in globe scene with incident. That would be too spooky. Walking out to see the snow falling when supposedly she's alone.

There was a lot of characters (suspects) introduced in that 1st chapter, it seemed like anyone and everyone was wandering through their store/cafe.

Allison, I felt same about character intros...a bit overwhelmed. But as story leveled off, it seemed to go better. But I am trying to get male characters straightened in my mind. Not yet sure who Cami has a soft spot for. There usually is one. ;-)

Stay warm and toasty, PI's. Hot chocolate and whipped cream, those few good books, win win! Not much more one needs.
Anyone from upstate NY?

Jill, I hail from up there but on a lark, I head south with friends many years ago. Met SO down here and it's where I stayed. Still, there's something about our back home culture that I miss. Ideally it would be to stay up there spring, summer, fall. Head south for part of the winter. But alas, I did not win Lotto this weekend so--

Jill- we are also heading for snow. A real Nor'easter supposedly!
UGHHH!
PS- that song you were talking about is Shuffling off to Buffalo. It was used a lot when a musical performer would do a shuffle off the stage. They even used It on an Odd Couple episode.
Jill, Shuffle off to Buffalo...in your jeep decked with snow tires, chains, ice scraper. But the snow is wonderful for sports and stuff. It's all good. ;-)

J and Nicole, you PI's are being spared the brunt, right? I pass the TV now and then to see that most of the activity is below you. We are getting strong winds off this storm even all the way down to south FL. Stay warm, safe and dry, PI's!!

Cocoa! I used mine up, Allison and am not about to buy more of the good stuff this late in season (for FL). We'll be in shorts next week; so much for hot chocolate weather. I hope not but--

The only way I know to post photos is to look to right of your Parlor page more near the top where it has about 12 different sub topics/headings. Click photos and then there should be a sub heading Add photos. Click that and it should instruct further. It's been a while for me but I trust things are the same.
Shame on guy who stole kid's bike. I thought it a bad idea for him to leave his bag of tools behind. Too bad they couldn't get a print off them.

Yes, that's it, Jill.
That's what it's (the book thing) all about. Sorry for those who don't partake, Jill.

Binge watching is also good, Nicole. Esp. if they're movie adapted mysteries. lol Caught vintage Columbo the other night. Ahh, revisiting some great TV.

Glad you were spared Nicole - not so lucky down here!
