Navigating the Categories

So, we are curious! How are you deciding which topics to pick? Are you looking through them for something that interests you, or reading what you want and trying to fit it into a category? Both ways work, you are in a judgment free zone!

If something comes to mind for a category, I make a note of it, but mostly as I'm reading books I'm figuring out what category they fit in. This is easy now, but may require more effort on actually picking a book out later on, as categories available on my list start to dwindle :O)
