All my dad remembers is its about an American that went by the name of Morgan, part of the adventure was in the Ottoman Empire. Similar to the book "The Walking Drum" by Louis L'Amour

No siree, not a spy novel
More like Louis L'Amour's Walking Drums, Sitka or even Where the Tall Grass Blows

This was published in 2009 but does have a main character named Morgan and Ottoman Empire.To Do and Die
