I saw many great reviews about this book so I expected to love it and go on a search for other books by the authors. It ended up being quite good but there was no wow factor I expected, I was even bored at one point, so it was only a solid 4-star read for me.

This book was full of sexual tension and I loved it. I thought the tension and emotion breath of the pages and I was sucked right into the story. I loved both the hero and heroine they both had their own qualitys that I really liked. When they got together it was magic. They were both such strong characters but, they both had their weakness as well.

I have seen several recommendations for this book recently and I really enjoyed this debut novel as well. The characters are all likable and the couple in this book was really fun to watch as their romance developed. Kase was a very interesting character and I hope his secrets are revealed in the next book.

I have enjoyed every book in this series. Haven is grieving over her father's death and tells her mom she wants to give up her dream job as a sports reporter and move back home to Oklahoma with her. Haven's mom asks Trevor to help Haven get her life back on track and he arranges for her to do an exclusive interview on his life as a dual sport professional athlete. Trevor and Haven were so sweet together and I liked how she tried to help him after finding out what his big secret was which made her realize what her true passion in life was.

This was more of a 3.5 star read than 4 star, but was more than decent book from the series I've come to love. Most of the books was a road trip and it was interesting to read, but there were some parts that were annoying and they lowered the rating.

I was expecting this to be a nice, quick read with some humor in it but was sadly disappointed. The book was really badly written, I had a feeling like a child wrote it. It didn't feel like historical romance at all, everything belonged more to the present time than 1830s.

Finished 3/12/16
Rating: ★★★½
I enjoyed this first book in the series. Claire is taking over her ex mother-in-law's coffeehouse in New York when one of the employees is found injured in the coffeehouse. The police believe it was an accident but Claire believes there is more to what happened and she investigates. The characters are likable and there is a hint of a love triangle developing for Claire. I thought it was well done and did not overshadow the mystery. I even learned a few interesting things about coffee and plan to continue with the series.

I enjoyed this book a lot loved the interaction between the hero and herione as well as their reaction to each other. This book was a refreshing change from your normal everyday run-of-the-mill historical romance. I thoufh the hero was a James Bond kind of character which was so cool.

Review:
This book has been on my TBR for a while now and I always liked the description but never got to read it. The first disappointment happened when I went to add #2 to my TBR and noticed there hasn't been one written in two years and there's also no sign of it on author's page. I guess there won't be one but I still decided to read the book. It started quite promising but that didn't last long and it ended up being a big disappointment so I'm quite happy there is no #2 for me to read.

Rhis book was an engrossong romantic tale filled with suspense, intrigue, drangerous villans and a love story that is packed with emontion and sensuality. Thw realm is at war and things are intense and there is a lot of paranomal action. This fast becoming one of my favorite series.

This is a new to me author and I enjoyed this first book in her Crooked Creek Ranch series. I felt sorry for Tara Jean and all she had dealt with in her past. At first, I was not sure about her and Luc together but I liked them more as the story progressed. I thought there were a couple of parts where the story lagged a little but I loved the author's humor and the HEA. I will continue with the series.

Finished 3/17/16
Rating: ★★★★

I like that the Arcane Society series switches back and forth between contemporary and historical in each book. I enjoyed this installment and I really liked the characters. Lucinda was a strong heroine with an interesting psychic power to detect poison. Caleb is a strong hero with the ability to see patterns and connections where others see random chance. I liked that this book gave a glimpse into the origin of the Jones & Jones agency. Caleb and Lucinda were a perfect match and their romance was sweet. Each book reveals a new layer to the Arcane Society and I definitely plan to continue with the series.

Finished 3/23/16
Rating: ★★★★½

I really enjoyed this installment in the Mercy Thompson series. Adam's ex-wife, Christy, asks for his protection from a deadly stalker so she comes to stay with Mercy, Adam and the pack. Christy was annoying with her manipulation of Adam but I loved how Mercy got her back in the end. There is plenty of action when the pack is threatened by the stalker and Adam and Mercy fight to protect them. I am interested to find out how the characters introduced in this one will impact the story going forward.

Book: The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
Read: 25-Mar-2016
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
Unless it's a book from my favorite author, I usually prefer shorter, fast-paced romance books and have little patience for drawn-out and often boring books. All that changed when I discovered Mariana Zapata and her slow-paced books that could hardly be called romance in my vocabulary. Like the two of her books I've read before, The Wall of Winnipeg and Me was very slow and there was practically no romance until the very last parts of the long book. Even with that I was never bored with the book and never thought about quitting so that was a win and I'm eagerly awaiting the author's next book to come out.
