Skeetor 41. Blind Retribution by K. T. Roberts by K. T. Roberts (no photo)
Finish date: December 7, 2016
Rating: C+
Genre: Detective, Romance
Review: I received this book free through Goodreads Giveaways. I have mixed feelings towards this book. I would have scored this book a higher had it stayed in the detective genre. Unfortunately it seemed to suffer from an identity crisis and slipped into something resembling a young adult romance in certain chapters. The characters seemed to waver between being serious adults and lovestruck teenagers. As a result, I loved parts of the book and had to force my way through other parts.

Skeetor 42. L'Art De La Simplicité by Dominique Loreau by Dominique Loreau Dominique Loreau
Finish date: December 20, 2016
Rating: C+
Genre: Self-Help
Review: I received an advance readers' copy free through Goodreads Giveaways. This book is dedicated to the freedom achieved by cleaning out your clutter and only keeping the quality items that bring you joy. It also suggests how to simplify everyday or mundane tasks.
This book is definitely written with a female reader in mind although some of it could pertain to the male sex as well. It does not flow well everywhere and some sections read like bullets of information.
I found some things in the book that I liked and felt was sage advice but then others -maybe only for a particular type of woman. Still, I managed to glean a lot of useful information from it, hence the three stars.
