Jill H. (bucs1960) Autumn, here is your new thread in 2016. Happy reading in the new year.

Autumn | 276 comments Thanks Jill. :) I'm so happy the club is doing 50 books for 2016. I look forward to another shot at reaching such a goal:)

i will tell you for some reason goodreads did not notify me that my thread was up (?) ( or I would have thanked you earlier) so I did not find it it until I got nosy and looked through all the history book club feed.

Also on a more personal note, on my way to Mayo Tuesday. I'm hoping to receive better cancer care and specialist healthcare. I'm sure I'll get more reading time in and if I don't post for awhile--know I'm still reading and will just update this list (that I love to participate in) as soon as I get a chance:). Thank you for all you do.

1. The Soul of an Octopus A Surprising Exploration into the Wonder of Consciousness by Sy Montgomery by Sy Montgomery Sy Montgomery
Finish date: January 2nd, 2016
Genre: Animal Science Non-Fiction
Rating: A+
Review: I absolutely loved this book--and I think anyone that feels that other animals are more similar to us than not (and even sometimes better :)), would/will love it too. If you've ever had a deep connection with animals--I don't think you will want to miss out on this one. It's the empathetic story about the author's findings, discoveries, experiences with Octopi and other ocean life. It was an interesting and intriguing book that I will forever keep on my bookshelf.

Autumn | 276 comments 2. The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side (Miss Marple, #9) by Agatha Christie by Agatha Christie Agatha Christie
Finish date: January 22nd, 2016
Genre: Mystery
Rating: B
Review: Miss Marple, well into what is retirement, stumbles upon the case of a woman, poisoned at a movie star's house. This is an extremely sad Agatha Christie novel. Well written, but beware, it is a heartbreaking story.
