Anyone used Recordio app to make an audio book?

I was wondering if any of you have used the Recordio app to make an audio book? As I cannot afford to hire anyone to make an audiobook for me, I'm testing the app with the intention that if it works well, I'll publish my Nephilim Quest 1: Shadowhunter as an audiobook via Authors Republic. So far the app seems to work fine, but I'm concerned at the slight variations in volume... Can they patch these up to make the reading sound more uniform? (I try to speak with the same strength of voice, but depending on how I hold the iPad it makes some parts a bit louder than others - hope I manage to explain this correctly.)
