question, I am reading Lady Susan from Lady Susan, The Watsons, Sanditon. Do I add the whole book towards reading challenge though im only reading just one of the 3 stories included in it?
Even though they're fairly short books, what you've got there is a collection of three BOOKS under one cover. I would list each of them separately if I were you.
You couldn't wait for the group read next month? A bunch of us are reading Lady Susan in May in anticipation of the movie coming out soon. You should join us! You're just a couple of weeks ahead of the rest of us:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
personally i liked the movie better than the book. its something about seeing things happen. I as confused about what was going on in the beginning, since the music was overpowering at times. i couldnt make out what was being said. The settings, the cast, the costumes i loved.
Patricia, Oh good to hear because I'm headed to NY to see it tomorrow. I am reading the book tonight to get read. Thanks for letting me know.
Oh, I just finished the most recent book by Joy King and loved it! Check out The Abominable Mr. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Variation. I think it's even better than Yes, Mr. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Novella. You're making great progress , Patricia!
Midnight in Austenland looks interesting. I'll be curious to see your rating. I really enjoyed the other two. You've definitely got some good reading going on with those, Patricia!

I read Austenland too, and I really liked it - gave it 5 stars and a favorable review. Never saw the movie, though I knew there was one. I didn't know there was a sequel.

Way to keep adding to your Read list, Patricia! And it's ALWAYS a good time to read (or maybe I should say re-read!) Pride and Prejudice!
Debbie wrote: "Way to keep adding to your Read list, Patricia! And it's ALWAYS a good time to read (or maybe I should say re-read!) Pride and Prejudice!"I have been reading along on JustJane1813.com It has been fun :)
My goal is to reach Emma Woodhouse level now, but If I don't, I don't I never expected to get this much reading done!
Oh, Claudine does such a great job with the read-along, doesn't she? I didn't realize you were in that group, too.Glad you're reading more than you'd expected. Helps getting all this encouragement on GoodReads!
I'm curious- How did you like First (Wrong) Impressions? It's very liberal, even for a modernization, and I know a lot of reviewers were turned off by the characterization of Lizzy.
If I did nmbers right I am now in the 40s with Jane Austen books. Should get these 2 done the next couple days 41.

Debbie wrote: "I've read another of Julie Klassen's books and liked it. How was this one, Patricia?"I think it might be my favorite one by her - hadnt read all of her books yet, but so far, this is the top on my list of books by her. :)
which one did you read?

Hey, look at you, just about to knock on the door at the Emma Woodhouse library! Lots of good books in your stack so far. Did you like Christmas with Miss Austen? I haven't come across that title until seeing it on your list here.
Just noticed your question for me from late October. I read The Painter's Daughter, which was excellent.
