A friend also told me about Thrift Books http://www.thriftbooks.com/ which usually has cheap used copies of most books. I've had pretty good luck on there!

I have ordered a copy of 'The Colour Purple' as I've never read it. I hope I won't take too long to read it and am then happy to pass it on.
