SOLVED. YA book, girl goes to look for missing sister [s]

I'm looking for a book I read a couple years ago about a girl who's sister went missing prior to the book beginning. she goes looking for her with a guy around her age (teens) & she starts to like him. but later she finds out he kidnapped her sister. she finds her sister in the end. can anyone help?

I just read one with a similar plot (i.e. guy that helps is the culprit) but it was not YA and it was murder (not kidnapping) -- Forward Slash

that's not it but that sounds pretty interesting too! & im not sure if im looking for the same book you are because in this, the younger sister isn't with the older sisters boyfriend or ex. ☺️

I can't guarantee that it was the boyfriend or ex, I don't remember for sure. It would make more sense if he wasn't, to be completely honest haha
