Name: Maurelle Valencia Donnelly

Nicknames: Maur, but only by people she really likes.

Description: (a couple sentences) She has the mage's signature pointy ears, though she covers it by her hair, which is either electric blue or light brown most of the time. She mostly wears casual clothes (T-shirts, tank tops, ripped jeans,) with the exception of the few dresses she sometimes wears on special occasions.

History

Maurelle is a full blooded Mage, and was born when her parents were both nineteen. Her parents were both very wealthy and prided themselves on that. They showed absolutely no love for their daughter, however; Maurelle refers to them as 'refrigerator parents'. Rivka, her mother, died when Maurelle was ten at the age of twenty-nine. It was during this time that Maurelle realized that, even though they were forced into a arranged marriage, that Alaric really loved Rivka. From then on, Maurelle made a vow to her father to take care of him for the rest of his life, however long that may be. Though he still did not show any emotional attachment to his daughter, Alaric showed gratitude for the act of kindness on a rare occasion. Much go Maurelle's surprise, Alaric lived to the age of 35, which is considered elderly for a Mage.

After his death, Maurelle surprised herself by falling into grief. Though he was not the warmest person, she loved her father and was very attached to him. After his death, she decided to leave the house that she had grown up in and cancel her engagement to her boyfriend of two years, which her father had arranged. This did make her feel a little bit better, but not by much.

After spending some time on the streets, she finally got a job as a waitress at a local resturant. She used the funds she earned from the job to buy her own apartment and returned to her old home to move her belongings. She then realized that the home had been torn apart and that not much of anything was left. She salvaged the remaining useful objects and left emotionally damaged.

She spent the rest of her teenage years in a constant state of bitterness and distrust. It wasn't until the age of twenty that she had the realization that, unless she turned out like her father, the rest of her time living between the universes was short. She tried to be kind from then on, deciding that she would much prefer to live in the Light Universe, though even she didn't know why. She made friends and tried to do only good deeds. However, she fears that, inside, she truly belongs to the Dark universe, and, if she does end up where she wants to end up, she will have to cheat.

Personality: (five sentences minimum) Maurelle is an entire mystery to strangers, and she wants to keep it that way. However, despite her introverted personality, she is really warm towards her good friends, who consider her very funny and entertaining. She was born within the Dark universe, and part of her hopes that that is not where she'll end up in her eternity, though another part tells her that it has its perks and that she might even enjoy it. Considering that her kind rarely make it to be 30, she tries to do something selfless every day, as she knows that she may not be around much longer. Still, she asks herself where her true self may get her.
