Jessica The Martian, Andy Weir
An adventure story of bravery, inventiveness, & realism. A fun read.

Year of Wonders, Geraldine Brooks. Life during the Black Death. Loved this except for the ending.

Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth Reza Aslan
A guided tour through the historic information about Jesus's life, putting the gospels in context. Super interesting, a huge amount of research.

War of the Whales: A True Story, Joshua Horwitz
The inside scoop on an environmental threat that's not so well-known. Huge amounts of detail and yet it reads like a novel (well, an overcomplicated Da Vinci Code-esque novel).

Stories of Your Life and Others, Ted Chiang
Unique, thoughtful, captivating science fiction shorts.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette, Maria Semple
A slice of Seattle rich people's life, with unreliable narrators and the Drake Passage. Laughed out loud so many times during this book.

A Girl's Ride in Iceland, Ethel Alec-Tweedie
Young Victorian lady from England wants to do something different for this year's summer vacation. The best part is that it's true.

maartje Eragon

Finally got around to reading it and was definitely not disappointed. Will read again soon.
