SOLVED. A book from late 80s or early 90s - Firefly Island??? [s]

When I was younger I read a book that I thought was called Firefly Summer or Firefly Island. It was a teen romance/young adult fiction book about a girl who went to firefly island every summer and this one summer when she was a teenager she met a boy on the beach who turned out to be a celebrity which she found out when she got back to her home in NY. I know this is vague but it is driving me nuts, it was probably published in the late 80s or early 90s.
