Michael Vey is becoming more and more electric. When the voice's fort is destroyed. Michael and the electro clan go to see if there were any possible survivors. He gains electricity scars such as the ones someone gets from a lightning bolt strike. Hatch's forces are becoming stronger. Taking over a little island that doesn't have it's own military force. I thought some of the things Hatch did were awful and dark. When Taylor Michael Vey's girlfriend's mom gets framed they know that Hatch was behind it. Sneaking into Meridian Idaho to rescue her mother. Bumping into her father along the way. The families are starting to come together.

When Michael Vey and the rest of the Electroclan succeed in saving Jade Dragon in the fourth book, they go back to "head quarters" where their family and friends were. They discovered that the headquarters had been destroyed by the Elgen. They then traveled to another safehouse where they set up headquarters for the time being, and go rescue Taylor's parents from the Elgen. Michael Vey becomes more and more electric, becoming more uncertain about his powers as he and the rest of the Electroclan recuperate at the new headquarters.
The Elgen are on the verge of taking over an island nation known as Tuvalu, in their spreading attempt to take over the world. Hatch is becoming more power hungry, and with that he has turned more violent.

Personal Reaction: It was a pretty good book, though I must say, some of the parts with Hatch were a little violent. One of my siblings commented on Hatch saying that he was like a modern day Hitler. Which, in my opinion is pretty accurate. I can't wait for the next book, wondering what will actually happen next.

With the success of saving Jade dragon, Michael Vey and the Rest of the Electroclan receive word that the resistance ranch has been attacked. Michael become extremely angry. The Electroclan finally reaches North America once again. Michael demands to see the ranch and the whole group comes along. The remains of the ranch are not what they expected to find. After the visit to Mexico, the ranch, the group found themselves in a car in hours on their way to the secondary base of the resistance, Southern Utah. The book is full of surprises and you should read it.

Personal Reaction: It was a really good book. I love this series and would reread them over and over again. The book starts out a little slow but give it a chance and it will wow you. In the book was a step closer to find out the identity of a certain someone. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
