crazy1bad | 187 comments I am looking for a book about a heroine whose brother elopes to Gretna Green with hero´s bride. The heroine wakes up in the morning and sees that there is no horse. I think the hero is a duke, the heroine goes to him to tell him about the elopement so they follow them.

Farida6, that's good that you have the genre in your header but please also add plot details since so many people are looking for historical romances.

When did you read this......?

A guess - The Lady and the Laird by Nicola Cornick? One GR reviewer says, "Lady Lucy MacMorlan has a secret...She helps writes racy letters...for gentleman so that they could declare their love for the lady of their dream... When she helps her brother elope with Robert, Marquis of Methven's, suppose-to-be bride, she is blackmail to take the spot." Not sure if there's a doctor in the story.
