SOLVED. Sci-Fi book set in the future; Main Character is a Tech Scavenger(?); Book Cover is like a comic book [s]

I'm looking for a sci/fi book that is set in the Future, main character I believe is some sort of scavenger for old technology (I'm not very positive about this but "tech scavenger" is what really comes to mind when I try to recall the book).

The cover of the book looks like a comic book which shows the main character posed while either
a.) riding a hoverboard
b.) rapelling/travelling between buildings using wires

I saw this book at Barnes & Noble sometime between 2004-2012 but I'm not sure if it was published around that time.

That's about the extent that I can remember. Would appreciate help in brainstorming for me to remember more details and title suggestions.

Thank you for your suggestion. It looks close to the book cover that I remember. The book I'm hunting for looks a bit more futuristic though. I think there are buildings on the background... darker like it's night time. I wish I had the skills to draw it. :(

This book The Scavengers has a comic-type cover, has a girl in a pose and there are buildings in the background... but its not night time.

Thanks for your suggestion. The MC on the cover is a teenage (I think) boy. Cover art has a lot more SF elements on it and futuristic.

Is it children's, YA, or adult?

This one is aimed at kids and the pub date is later, but the description sounds a bit like your MC - "Daring 13-year-old tetherboy Chess and his salvage crew"
